I use a travel agent on my nature boy v brakes and they work well. I've been using the ones they had on planetx with the barrel adjuster where the cable outer joins the v brake pipe (well described I know)
Unfortunately, I can't find them now, so not much help.

More importantly, how much do you want for them?
Pm me, so we don't clutter up your thread. -

Avid shorty ultimate are amazing...

Ok just took the bike around the block and I have the brakes workingquite well so I'll stick with them for now and let you know of I let them go. I got them relatively cheap so so will you.

But red ano can >>>
I'll get the revox in black ano alu if any :) -

Thanks. I want as simple and light a system as possible.

Cool. Glad you got em working. Let me know.

It feels fast. I am real happy.
To do is tilting bars down a tad and move levers up, then bar tape and shortening of cables. Hopefully I'll get time to pick up my front wheel at Stayer tomorrow or at least during the week.
I think I'll ride it with latex inners and 40c Challenge Gravel Grinder plus for a bit to get comfortable on the bike. Maybe do September like this and then go tubeless in October when rain starts falling more often and courses start getting soggy. But I really want to weigh the entire bike with tubeless setup.Edit: Is it stupid to remove carbon bung and top cap, for weight savings, after correction tension on headset is reached?

I'm gonna go with no, its not stupid. You'll be racing this so just make sure its in your toolbox and put it back when you're training (or in the pocket).
Looks great btw. Nicest Tricross ever.

Yeah exactly what I was thinking re bung. And thanks. Really helps with paint, loosing the tapered spacer headset top and binning the original forks. A pair of straight whisky or ritchey forks would be nice tho

• #112
flip stem for 2 spacer weight savings?
-
• #113
I might have to flip stem and keep spacers actually :(

I wouldnt bother for racing cross. Surely courses dont have enough elevation change for it to have a meaningful difference?
Theres also a good chance the bung is needed to reinforce the steerer from the inside, meaning without it the fork could crack. Youd also be introducing a load of mud into your steerer

Yeah good point.
It isn't so much for elevation tho. It is the carrying of the bike that is the issue -

Just came back from first proper training.
Bike looks porky but it isn't. Brakes are setup perfectly now and it is such a joy to bomb downhill and brake securely.. -

This is so amazing. So jealous...
Good job :~) -

Really nicely done. Looks fantastic.

Thanks

Looks very purdy - what was the final weight in the end?
-
• #124
I don't know yet. My scale broke. I'll go to Stayer Cycles and borrow their scale when I have converted wheels to tubeless tyres.

perfect blank canvas to do some retro splatter ?
should be able to save more weight with different pedals, those are like 380g I think
ace build, really like it - don't forget to put bolts in all the guard / cage bosses else your BB won't last
Yes I am considering this. I need Revox really. How much will you pay for them?
