  • Where you hoping for something lemon party-esque?

  • if you have a shot every time millar says " ripped to pieces " you'd be rainbow yawning, pavement pizza'ing before the commisars flag drops after the initial roll out

  • could someone put up a gif of chris froomes podium wave

  • it was another motor-doping-accusational-shot, nevermind

  • Is today the day Froome has a mechanical/puncture/runny bottom on a climb and nobody is allowed to attack? Or is that scheduled for tomorrow?

  • The plan is this: if Froome's suffering at any point today, he barks out the codeword "OPERATION PRINCE PHILIP!"

This is the cue for Moscon to fire an ethnic slur at Froome's nearest rival, causing a fist fight noodley-arm-waving contest between positions 2-10 on GC, leaving Froome free to spin up the climb unmolested.

  • I want him to tell Aru his face looks like it's been stung by a whole nest of Hornets.

    Somebody should.

  • Moscon gets DQ'd; blames 'global Jewish conspiracy'; the end.

  • Good to see De Gent back to his old ways of being at the front of the breakaway.

  • Are the commentators on ITV4 so besotted with Nicholas Roche as Eurosport are?

  • While I am sure that Roche is a charming chap and he undeniably a decent rider, I find myself constantly disappointed by his performances after the build up that he is constantly given.

  • ^Two of his five wins in the last decade have been at the Vuelta.

  • I hadn't realised,until just now, that he came 8th in the 2008 Paris - Camembert.

    Un grand fromage.

  • I do hope they are testing Contador regularly in this race.

  • I bet Bardet's heart sank when he looked back then and saw Rui Costa and Roche appear.

  • <3 Alberto Contador - he just keeps on attacking, every stage he just has to. Sad we won't see it again as of the end of this season

  • Who won, could hear for all of Kirbys shouting?

  • Pleased for De Gendt, that completes the set of GT stage wins.

But poor Garcia, so close in his home town.

  • This is a fishing expedition though, he might gain a handful of seconds at best.

  • Yep, caught. Should've saved it for tomorrow.

  • I was quite confused for a while with last years comments on this years report:

    http://www.cyclingnews.com/vuelta-a-espana/stage-19/results/

  • Only 3k from the finish he got caught, at one point he had a minute. Anyway. Too bad. He asked Koen de Kort to do it again for him tomorrow on the Angliru ;-)

You think he's tested less than the others?

  • Look like tough climbs tomorrow.

  • Moscon is chuckling at your tough climb synopsis

  • You think he's tested less than the others?

I think it's well established that the doping authorities in Spain are not really interested in testing Spanish athletes. Even when big names are caught, they get protected by mainstream Spanish politicians.

I was amazed when Samuel Sanchez was popped, but it seems that was a UCI targeted test rather than an out of competition Spanish anti-doping agency test.
