Maybe he went too all in yesterday.
If it is hot weather on the Angliru, I expect Froome to stomp on them.
Hard couple of days before then though! -

Drinking game: every time David Millar says "timed it to prefection", drink a shot.

Enjoyed that, Rooting for the Aquablue dude, but also for Bertie.

Blimey, it's all gone a bit homo-erotic.

wow. deserved.

If you add in a drink for every time Millar says 'look' or 'see' you'd be pissed before they got out of the neutral zone.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for reading this thread and responding to my concerns. I appreciate your efforts to open up the race a little, and kindly cede the time you made up during the time trial yesterday. However, I am still confident you will win overall with your current margin, and be grateful if you could repeat today's antics and open it up a little further tomorrow.
Cheers,
tommmmmmm

I was never bored by the Vuelta, I think it's great.
I'm still not convinced that there's a real threat to Froome's position, but the fact that they've also used the phrase "good news for the race" three times at the end of the highlights programme so far shows that I wasn't alone in hoping for a little more GC excitement.

I wasn't alone in hoping for a little more GC excitement.
I don't think you'll find many folk who are such Froome fanbois that they want a boring, easy win.
I don't think I've ever met anyone who does more than respects what he can do.

Bertie on the attack again! I'm still unbored by this race...

I'm defo going on holiday to this bit of Spain soon.
It looks so lovely.

Froome gains more time on Nibbles. So much for him being sick.
-
• #342
Did Contador improve his place? GTs going to be so much worse off without him.
-
• #343
No, in answer to my own question:
Froome now leads Nibali by 1:37, with Kelderman third at 2:17 and Zakarin fourth at 2:29. Contador is fifth at 3:34. He is closing in on the podium.

I was listening to the commentary today with only half an eye on the video on a second screen. I did involuntarily look up though when Carlton K said that a number of the riders were "playing with themselves"...

Froome's a bastard, eh, what with his boring riding.
-
• #346
It's amazing. But there's a reason why it's so green...
-
• #347
Warm rain tho.

Weird video from French (?) source just turned up. Is this uphill or downhill? Is the bald man pushing or pulling?
-
• #349
Don't think that's the right video mate.

Any chance of Merida, Sunweb, Katusha or Trek Segafredo taking it on from the first climb today to try and tire Sky out for tomorrow?
They're running out of time to roll the dice.

Froome looked cooked and the next two days don't provide much opportunity for recovery before the big climb on Saturday.
