I think you mean Champayement
-
• #78
Nooo keep the boring enve fork
-
• #79
Are you going to get the forks rawed to match the frame or are you on a quest to build the most expensive frankenbike?
-
• #80
This needs WoundUps!
-
• #81
WoundUps are a travesty, don't do it!
-
• #82
Parlee Pistas are a travesty
ftfy
Don't mean to offensive, rad as fuck but pretty useless for being fast on a track.
WoundUps (track ones complete black) would fit nicely -
• #83
I am not fast on or off the track and the bike is likely to be used as a pub / work beater so that's fine.
Wound Ups do not come in rake sub 35mm unfortunately
-
• #84
You better not be keeping those forks red.
-
• #85
35mm rake is fine, do it
-
• #86
bike is likely to be used as a pub / work beater
Lol

Get this ready for the next track day! ;)

The seller of that weird sales thread has a spare black Paul Royal Flush chainset in 165mm / 48t which he offered at a reasonable price.
BUT
I have a spare DA Octalink polished track chainset in France which I plan on using on this.
I need to purchase an English threaded Octalink BB in 109.5mm for it as I only have an Italian threaded one. -

There is no reasonable price for a Paul chainset. They are anti and should not be anywhere near this bike.

What's with the 'Merican theme? I was hoping for FSA isis carbon track crank, probably not US-made but still...
-
• #92
The way I see it, the royal flush cranks are an experiment to test the loyalty of paul customers. Or possibly an attempt to get ed hardy fans into cycling.

It would be a pricy exercise to be all American unfortunately.
Loads of US brands are actually produced in other countries so true American products are thin on the ground / pricey.
I have acquired @umop3pisdn Oval Jetstream forks (stock 3k weave with clear lacquer, shiny finish) which I need to get repainted.

If there were other companies producing compatible chainrings then I would actually ride the arms!
They remind me of MiddleBurn products
-
• #95
Keep coming back and wanting that Enve fork....
-
• #96
Good point, they kind of remind me of the TA specialites Pro 5 Vis crank arms. Might be worth thinking about getting a custom chainring.

So the all American build is not going according to plans.
Just purchased a Walker Brothers track disc.
Miche hub on clincher rim.described as "for urban use" - it would be fine to race on but it has more flex than a racing wheel, so wouldn't sell it as a racing wheel. We have been developing a disc wheel for the urban market that is more affordable using cheaper materials. The wheel is primarily made from high strength fibreglass rather than carbon fibre. This gives a more comfortable and durable ride.
Not a fan of the union jack decals but will look into it.
Thanks @Scilly.Suffolk for spotting it on eBay

How about the carbon rim

An urban disc? Now I've heard everything.
Forks no, but I'm sure we could come to come sort of champagne payment?
