The problem I have with King cages (got the steel version on 001) is why did they make the flanges curved? It's impossible to the the cage bolts tight. I ended up making a flat jig with some threaded holes so that I could flatten the back and make the cages sit straight and solid on the bike.

They just look like a dirty version of the ancient Velocity alu cage I used to use.

I do all the work, black parts hide my disdain for cleaning.

Parlee do a carbon derailleur clamp in 28.6 which might be what you're after -

price seems a little aggressive ...

Yeah I was going to email Verity again today to ask exactly that question. Last correspondence was 'all bikes out for delivery by the end of October'...so yes: we must be close.

You are right, stuff is already leaving. Verity is sending out final invoices to everyone today and as the frames are painted and hard they leave. Everything should be long gone by end of October. Watch your emails!

agreed, I just looked too. Apparently only 31.8 and 34.9 available. I have gone with a very basic M part one

wise...the parlee is nice but £60 on a clamp....argh...

A word of warning with the M Part one, I don't have a torque wrench and have seemingly overtightened it. My steel seat tube is no longer round.
I suspect this can happen with any clamp but this one specifically has "pinched" the tube where there's a gap at the bolt.
