  • It's nuts. All of this is nuts.

  • I just assumed that's what they were planning on spending.

  • Eat lead sucker.

  • It's nuts. All of this is nuts.

No way are they going to fork out for luxury granola. Also, think of the allergies.

  • Nut allergies are a problem for the middle classes which their public school caterers can deal with.

  • Eat lead sucker

Lead is too expensive for the costed breakfast.

  • Bringing knives to a gunfight. Excellent.

  • Jeremy Hunt probably suggested homeopathic Lead.

  • Lack of time, motivation, a gruelling Italian lesson schedule ahead of a holiday in Italy next week, news fatigue and a genuine dislike of awkward political interviews (The Thick of It is my idea of hell, not fun, I used to work in public affairs and it's all too real)..?

    ;)

  • Hoxton is in north London now? I can't keep up.

  • Then all that great nightlife will happen without you.

  • It's grim up north london goes here.

  • Typical Standard bias now George Osborne is at the helm.

He has been open in his criticism of May and is clearly using his position as editor to undermine her. Classic press manipulation.

On the whole Corbyn numbers thing and beeb bias. TBH (on R4 at least) they seemed to use it as a story to generate discussion and more story. "Should we care if leaders can't remember stats"? Discuss. "What are the Tory's numbers"? Discuss. *"Do manifestos need to be costed"? * Discuss.

  • My colleague went to hear his local MP speak last night.

There was a big round of applause for a speaker at the event who said something like "I hope you don't mind that I can't remember the exact figures, but I don't think it's as important as some people do that you can memorise every last number".

  • Call me cynical but I think this is partly in reaction to criticism, not journalistic strategy.

  • I was pretty disgusted at the way the first story on the 22:00 news on the BBC last night was Corbyn making a gaffe, rather than presenting a story about Childcare policy.

Top journalism guys, your main story on you 2nd flagship news show was: MAN DOESN'T QUITE HAVE ALL THE NUMBERS MEMORISED

If I wanted to watch gutter stories I'd put E! on the TV

  • Can someone shop the first line to read 'we've had 7 years of Tory Cuts'

And add a Vote Labour logo to the bottom of the image?

    @Tijs ?

May be able to get it going as a twitter meme if I call in a favour with an 'influencer'

  • Well tonights debate could go spectacularly well or spectacularly badly....

  • Awesome move. Going to call myself out as a massive Corbyn sceptic, but he is coming good.

  • Seems a master stroke by Corbyn doing tonights debate

  • I won't be able to watch it. I'm way too emotionally invested in this shit as it is. I think it'd put me over the edge.

  • gaffe, rather than presenting a story about Childcare policy.

    Maybe.

Tbh I'm of the view that if you're launching a policy you need to be on it. It's the second time they've bumbled a launch.

Obvs I accept the shadow cabinet doesn't have much experience (in office or media), but in the same way the £350m on a bus gets brought up, this is fair game.

  • especially with this, calling Maybot out on her unwillingness to debate
