Monzo notification tells me that anyway.
Maybe you don't get that feature on iOS?
-
• #253
It tells me if I open the app and look, and the pinging notification doesn't quite do it for me.
Also, is android
-
• #254
That’s an android screenshot, I get the Monzo notification on iOS and watchOS personally

Interesting.
When I use the card I get a notification telling me what I spent and if I make multiple purchases I get a notification with a daily running total as well.
Maybe check your notification settings?
-

I just tend to dismiss it and swipe it away.
I spend £8 and immediately I get told I just spent £8.
It's the wrong moment in my day to help me reflect on my running expenditure.I need ongoing visibility so I don't end up going into the shop and spendibg the £8

Revolut notifications also tell me the total I spent that day.
edit: oh, I'm just repeating things others already mentioned. Nevermind me
-
• #258
Haha tbh I agree with you, my notifications are always, you spent £3 making it £21 for the day or whatever, at which point it’s too late.
Knowing what I’ve spent today ahead of the purchase, Apple Pay screen maybe? Would be beneficial -

Is it possible to turn off the email notification every time I transfer money from Revolut to another bank account?
There is no "click here to unsubscribe" or some sort at the end of the mail, haha -

Who's gone for the Metal Revolut card?
-

Tempting but a bit too pricey given that I have a load of that stuff with Amex that I don't use. May change my mind if rumours of airport lounge access are true (although I suspect in reality it will still be paying to access them).
I did try Premium and one really good thing is disposable virtual cards. It sets up a one-off card that expires as soon as you use it. Great for those subscriptions where you only want a month but just know that you'll forget to cancel it (or that cancelling it will require a load of time on the phone).

I’ve done it - but only because the cash back should offset the increase in fee and I like the increased withdrawal limit.
I also like the virtual cards and I’m a sucker for a marketing gimmick!

A colleagues maternity gift collection is being done via monzo.
I sold some gig tickets on a forum and the geezer ask "do you have Monzo"
My wife now has Monzo.
The tide is turning.

Was a bit annoyed when I wasn't picked out of the raffle for investing on Crowdcube a couple of years ago. Moreso now. Ho hum.
-
• #266
I dunno man... I could see this MarketPlace dieection falling flat

Chip about to break Monzo's crowdcube funding record.
https://www.crowdcube.com/companies/chip/pitches/qrOQolI put a bit of money in the last time they raised, which is handily now 'worth' 2.5x what it was (not that it means anything until/unless they exit)

Are there any other apps/credit cards/banks that offer virtual disposable cards (i.e. one-off cards for online transactions)?
I really like that feature of Revolut but I'm struggling to justify paying for premium membership just for that.
-
• #269
Hey, you can use Revolut to park spare cash as euros. Could be a tidy little earner around March the 29th 😉
-
• #270
justify paying for premium membership
Do you have to? I don't and I have that option.
-
• #271
Are you sure, looks to be a premium option https://www.revolut.com/pricing I don't remember it from when I was on the free version.
-
• #272
If you tap that option, you'll be directed to premium/metal membership
-
• #274
It just activates for me as well, no need to be premium? I think you can have a maximum number of cards when not premium though
-
• #275
Hmm, that's the virtual card. The disposable one automatically changes number each time you use it.
I guess the question is, are you limited in the number of virtual cards you can generate if you're a free user?
I foubd myself going over budget a lot so I used the IFTT integration to create a home screen widget to track my days spend.
Seems to be working.
