Do you have a weekend?
Oh yeah - you live south.....
-
• #753
OOOOOOSSSSSSSSS
-
• #754
south east is the best!
-
• #755
I mean look, if we’re going to enter in to this debate then we may aswell just all agree that the ACTUAL North, ie Manchester, is the best.
-
• #756
This I agree with.
-
• #757
lol of all the places in the North Manchester is not the best one.
York. Durham. Newcastle. imho Middlesbrough. Although tbh the best bits of the north are not cities.

• #758
actual north
Scotland is pretty good tbf

• #759
Iceland ftw
-
• #760
Peak District, Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, etc
All surrounded by Manchester.

• #766
Hows the new brakes?
-
• #767
New brakes is wicked, really easy to adjust too. Skids for days.
Retrofitted a long cage to my 6870 mech and increased the spring tension while I was at it. Now both 36-11 and 50-40 and perfectly useable 😇
Just need a carbon post (hopefully a Canyon VCSL one) and the Pinnacle is finished.

I wouldn’t bother with a knock-off split post tbh. The reason the original VCLS post was so good (they are insanely compliant) is because of basalt threaded carbon and a specific layup. I don’t think the knock off ones are going to be anywhere near as good. They’d probably have to beef up the carbon to ensure they don’t snap. Save up for the proper one.

always wanted one of those posts but my heft (90kg on a good day) is too much. What's the next best thing?
-
• #771
I see, I still couldn't fork out that much on a seatpost for a pinnacle that gets an hour a day tops riding.
-
• #773
Ride it more then 😇
-
• #774
So the original VLCS or Ritchey Flexlogic looks good.

Yep, I would follow the advice that @alialias posted. I’ve got the regular canyon post and it flexes loads. Dunno if you can still buy them, or if they have a max rider weight rating. Amazing piece of kit.
Might even have Open finished by this weekend.....
