  • I'm of the opinion that any tyres I'll want to use over 33, will be knobblies or semi-knobbly riding for riding off road - the type of terain where you don't want the guards on the bike anyway, as they will just clog up with shit and probably break.

    That's fair.

I seldom go full off-road, mine are more like the gravel paths along the Thames out West, or the gravel of the South Downs Way, or a little mud as I do some cut throughs.

The Schwalbe G-One is pretty much a perfect tyre for me, and because 80-90% remains on-road I'm looking for fenders just to not cover me in water. Spray over feet I'm fine with... just looking to stop the worst of the spray on the downtube or over my arse.

  • I know now why people don't get pink bikes.

They get a lot of attention.

As do Enve wheels when they're still stickered up.

  • The pink is ace, the wheels would be nicer with no or black labels

  • I've done the no labels thing. The wheels end up looking ridiculous, very little visually to separate carbon from rubber, and at a casual glance they end up looking out of proportion and balloon like.

I've done the black labels thing. The labels are understated, to the extreme of not actually being noticeable. It's largely pointless, and the balloon effect remains.

This time I'm staying logo'd for a while. I chose white as black is ruled out for the above reason, and because I cannot colour match a pink (or any red toned colour) and nothing else would work.

Perhaps if Enve had like a Pride flag decal set with nice unicorn colours on it I would have considered that. Or silver glitter, would consider that too. But those weren't options. White was the least worse of the available options.

It's rather satisfying to see them blur into three lines as I ride. I suspect they'll work as a form of reflector, catching the light and eye of cars and their drivers. This isn't a bad side effect, I'm happy with the white even though it's not unicorn or glitter.

  • I have just mounted 35c g ones in my Talbot. Also own the 40 swarfs. Will check if they fit shortly.

Gumwalls, you know you want them :)

    Much appreciated.

  • Gumwalls, you know you want them :)

This would solve all my problems :)

  • pls post a pic

  • I'm shit at photos. And still haven't mounted them. That's tonight's project.

Bet someone here could easily knock some up. Would look awesome!

  • Honestly, if I got a combination... Pride flag in glitter in the shape of the Enve logo... then I'll go and commission some tiny panniers with My Little Pony on the sides.

  • Spray over feet I'm fine with

    wut

  • Need to get one of these... it seems no-one sells the Wahoo pucks on their own any more.

  • THIS THREAD IS USELESS WITHOUT PICS

  • the lighting is terrible here though

  • Didn't get a chance to mount as have now lost bolts but looks like they should fit

  • @velocio I have a brand new Tubus airy ti rear rack from bike24, that doesn't fit by bike. Would you like it for £100?

  • The airy is thinner than I was intending, but may be a good thing over Winter... so why not :)

Are you in London for a delivery or collection? I work near the Tate Modern on Lavington Street, but can ride to wherever one evening too.
