The amount of glitter used is normally equal to the depth of your pockets.

Just for my reference: 3M 680CR-85 is a black vinyl that reflects white.

The reflective black 3M vinyl is an idea (thanks @coldharbour ) to change the wheel decals from white to black. But to retain the neat side effects of the white.
I like the fact that the white decals are extremely visible to cars, and that they are great communicators to other cyclists of when I'm decelerating or suddenly braking hard. The white decals are great communicators, especially when commuting through the city.
So yeah... maybe go stealth, but with reflectivity so there are still potential safety upsides (conscious of that hit and run, will take Christmas tree level wheels any day of the week).

Unless the Kings Rd isn't in west London anymore.
I've seen them riding on the pavement and through reds -

Heathens! How dare they bring their uncouthness into the rich lands of West London.
Now I'll have to fit Grease-style spikes to my hubs.

He clearly meant that west London is an affluent area and since anywhere west of Shepard's Bush is a hole, I figured he must mean closer central

Can anyone get hold of consumer quantities of this 3M material,
or,
is it only supplied to Industrial/manufacturing users? -
• #1098
You can purchase rolls of the 3M reflective vinyl tape (680CR-85 is visually black but reflects white) on eBay and Amazon. They sell narrow widths, like duct tape, etc for reasonable prices (below a tenner).

If you want vinyl printing widths, then you're looking at many dorrah per meter. Think in the £60-£80 per meter length of 1 meter width. This would be for using in a vinyl printer, etc.

Many thanks your prompt reply.
I can see myself getting a roll of this tape for extra dusk/night visibility
in the bike intolerant badlands of outer north west London.
Damn you hoops, damn you!
Lots of glitter?
