Big Finish?

Flippin’ enormous finish! We smashed it; obliterated the 75K target in less than a week. That was absolutely amazing and a massive thanks to all who pledged. You truly did your bit to fit out the new pavilion. You played a crucial part in calling Herne Hill Velodrome….(gulp, we’re going to say it)….saved.

So what next?

Well, we did have a stretch target, a bigger figure we didn’t dare put down first: £100,000. What do you reckon?
There’s plenty more we could pay for. Push on just till Christmas? See how far we can get?

Do they do road bike racing at HH like they do over at Maindy? I would love to see the chair we (attack the pack) sponsored and take part in a race there in the spring/summer.

Morning all!

Five and a half days to go with the crowdfunder and we are creeping, like Father Christmas ariound the tree, up to £84k, which is an utterly incredible amount already!

Even Patch and his mates at the North Pole would be struggling to knock toys out as quicly as the cash has been raised!

Buuuuttt........

There are still scakfuls of rewards up for grabs so keep spreading the word and lets keeping tht the total upto £100k for dinnertime on Christmas Eve!!

Following on from Rob's post....

To liven things up in our final week we’re going to throw a few new rewards into the mix, including some wonderful one-off items and experiences that have been kindly donated to the cause.

First up: A BMX party at Burgess Park BMX Track! Alistair at Southwark Council has kindly donated a 2hr coached BMX session for up to 15 people (aged 8 and above). There’s only one available…and it’s live on the crowdfunder.co.uk/thebigfinish page now.

We're over the line! £89,089! What an Unbelievable Finish!

Thank you all so much for your support over the last few weeks. The financial success of The Big Finish is clear to see, but the campaign has also shown what a truly wonderful place Herne Hill Velodrome is; a unique and vibrant hub to a wide and varied cycling community. It’s the people that make the place special, the same people who have made The Big Finish a success. That’s you, so chapeau!

Im guessing there's to be flipping huge party with all the backers. My track bike will be ready in March. I am excite would be good to christen said track bike with a little competition

Don't you worry, after the festive period we will be right back on the events organisation, there are some cracking things in the pipeline as well as the now tradition Spring Opener for Track League.

We'll keep you posted.

Had my bikefit yesterday at Condor for the very limited edition FHHV track bike. Build spec is awesome.

All the measurements bar one was spot on my Dolan Pre Cursa self build.

Bike should be ready in March, I am excite

@Ecobeard do you know who would be the best person to co-ordinate seat names as we'd quite like to have the 3 we (LFGSS) have pledged next to each other?

It's already been mentioned to @SamH - sorry, meant to mention it in response to your pm.

Similar to that request, I'd like mine to be near the other LFGSS ones.
