Trans Am Bike Race / TransAm / TABR

AZ has left Charlottesville 46 minutes ahead of Marcel Graber's record setting time in 2018. The difference of course is that Marcel was well-rested have made an 8+ hour rest stop. Now, AZ has 11 hours and 32 minutes to set a new record. There are 191 miles (307 km) to cover. Weather outlook is favorable.

It's still hard to see how he can beat a velomobile on the declivity down to the sea ... but I'm watching. :)

It's amazing how you live vicariously--if I knew I had 165 miles ahead of me, I'd think of it as a hard thing to do, downhill or not, but with Abdullah? Piece of piss as seen from my hiding position behind my computer.

Looks like he's now projected to finish 8 hours up on the non-velomobile course record!
