When i tried to use google log in....i was given a new account...i had to sign in and a code....faf.....this was on Android smartphone and the cide turned up quickly and worked....on my tablet a bit more problematic as intitially the system regarded my email invalid...but after a few attempts it worked....your system did not like auto fill....i then got a code and after frequent flipping between email and lfgss website....logged on but the old system with password was easier....why the change?

Login on pc (chrome, windows 7), via Microsoft, asks for email address, sends a code to my Hotmail that I have to retrieve.
Login on phone (android, old), can just login using Hotmail address and password.
Phone version easier/more convenient, despite meaning I have to stay logged in to Hotmail.Edit: Shit, appears on mobile that I've lost my username.
This could be because I switched/was forced to switch from Hotmail to Outlook a few years ago, so my Hotmail login is actually now an Outlook login...?Also, 'continue as guest' link didn't work from phone. And didn't from pc either, but could still access eventually without signing in.
Edit: can login on phone via Hotmail, then log out of my actial Hotmail, stays logged in to here. Still on new username here though...

why the change?
The old system is being retired by Mozilla and will not exist in a month or two.
I can associate the gmail with your account if this simplifies things for you. Just send me a PM with the details.

Shit, appears on mobile that I've lost my username
I've fixed that.
On both the email code, and the Windows Live, use the @outlook.com version of your username.
This will get you in with your original @Philbythesea account.

Adblock browser on Android 6.0 works without any fuss when using a Google email address.

While it seems to work from mobile and desktop the new auth is very unconvenient for me.
At work private email providers are blocked, so I have no way of logging into my email and retrieving the code. -

At work private email providers are blocked, so I have no way of logging into my email and retrieving the code. This is actually why I chose the email code that you must enter, over an email link that you must click.
You can open the site on your desktop, sign in with email, receive the code to your private email on your phone/mobile, and still enter the code on your desktop to complete sign in.

I assume this has been mentioned above, but can't see it on the previous two pages (sorry too lazy to check back further), but when I was kicked out and asked to log back in again I tried to browse as guest, but couldn't. I just got either a server error message, or only saw the page that asked me to relogin or browse as guest.
I managed to login fine with the code.

This is very annoying, but it's a complex bug.
I may fix this a very simple way.
If the server throws a server error... I'll log you out and turn you into a proper guest.
At least that will give you the ability to actually do something meaningful (browse as guest or sign in).

Hmm. Silly me set up the login with an address that I can only access from my pc at home. What was that about changing email addresses? Switching to my Google address would make this possible.

Sign in with the Google address... PM me both usernames and I'll swap the emails.

Great. Got a bit confused at first with a white 500 page. Now they come up as proper pages and show missing login. authO works nicely

Ah, the forced deletion of a cookie during a server error works!
Though... if I actually have a server error, this is going to get messy fast.

Worked fine first time here. Cheers!

or it will send a code to your email. There is no passsword.
So if I know someone's email address I have a 1 in 1,000,000 chance of logging in as them if I just pick a random code to enter.
Yay, 20-bit password security!

You have 15 minutes to enter it (it is a cryptographic TOTP), and there is brute force detection, auto-blocking of brute force, and alert emails sent to the target and myself.
Good luck.

Can't log in on my phone (Android, Chrome).
I enter my yahoo.co.uk email address into the email address field, and I get an error saying "The email is invalid".
Works fine on my work computer - Chrome on OSX.

I entered your email, exactly as it appears on your profile page, and it sent you the code (tried twice, both emails sent fine).
You must be entering it incorrectly.
-
• #223
Definitely entering it correctly.
Again, it worked totally fine on desktop, got the codes etc and here I am logged in - but when I try to log in on my phone it says the email is invalid.

FWIW, is fine with Safari 9.1.2 using e-mail address and authorisation code supplied.
After I'd put the correct e-mail in, that is!
anyone got luck with iphone + chrome?
