Butt cheek substitution - but it’s not the owner’s so kind of pointless if you believe in the break in requirement.

Depends how much attention went into ball choice and placement, no?
Maybe he's got a bum like a pair of tennis balls.

No

Probably not. But it might be cleverer than you think. Something something ischial tuberosities...
Or maybe he's copying his butt groove off an old saddle

Needed a fixture to fix the rear guard.
Flattened a P-clip, shortened it and re-drilled hole. Need to get another shorter bolt and washers instead of that nut.

Feedback sports make some good ones, only broken a few in years of use. think they are maybe made from Boron or Tungsten?
Park + Pedro's ones are pretty soft, tip dissapears quickly. The best ones are found in the medical sharps bin in a dental surgery! Most of them are on contract supply/return/repair/clean/reuse sort of a deal, ask your dentist if they've got any damaged ones, extremely useful in a bike shop

Slightly more accurate than the old concrete lintel with double glazing spacers placed underneath left over a weekend, good idea!
Got a knock off brooks/gilles B saddle a few years ago that was a fair match for the concrete in terms of stiffness, hardly used it as pretty unbearably firm in use even after getting the concrete treatment. -

a friends bike has a bodge I really like: adjustable stem with massive bolt from the hardware store

More mudguard bodges. Needed to drop the front mudguard for a better line. Here’s what I came up with, and it seems to work well enough. Will probably take it and add some thread lock.

Well played, and in this case it might be my teeth when the hardware rattles loose and the mudguard fouls the tire.

Not really a hack, but I forgot to pack Liz’s saddle bag. Still a stem bag makes a good substitute.

Can confirm the immediate effect of the superglue and tightly wrapped inner tube method - it looks like it's patched up smoothly. Will be interesting to see how it lasts. Thanks for the tip!
