Wait. Do you live in NI?
-
• #2203
The only reason NI doesn't vote UKIP is that they all hate the other side even more than they hate the forrins.
Anyway, this is the Trump thread - has he done anything particularly vile today yet?

He boasted of his accomplishments in the few weeks since taking office and said, "It's been a lot of fun."

My partner and I were planning to move there anyway but brexit looks to be speeding up the timeline for it.

Also working on this.

Fuck, not even George Dubya supports Trump.

Well Trump did declare his kid brothers 2016 election campaign 'low energy'.
Does make me wonder what Dubya has to gain by publicly opposing Trump,
I'm wishfully hoping that some of the Republican party want to reel Trump in,
but then I remember that the Republican party stonewalled (nearly?) all of Obama's 2nd term policies and that at grass roots the Republican party still has the T-party crazies,
so I don't think there are any decent Republicans. -

It makes him appear less of a cunt.

To who?
Guess dynasties must think long term,
and Jeb, or the next generation Bushes, must be thinking of 2020 and beyond. -

This seems sensible

Defence budget up by $54bn...

Well at this rate it will soon be the United States of Trump vs the world.

It's not like they weren't already being a bit lavish or anything...

Fighting proxy wars is an expensive business.

Russia seem to be able to do it on a budget. They probably aren't paying $10,000 for a hammer though.

Not as a percentage of GDP.

He sounds like an accomplished statesman in comparison!

I miss John Stewart...

He doesn't want to release details of his Russian business deals, like the Trump hotel in Moscow.

Love this...

Some of those figures are hella weird - why does Saudi spend almost as much as Russia? How does Singapore spend more than Pakistan? Why is the UAE there at all?

Yemen.
I've been here 14 years, in Belfast at least things ARE changing. Not going to say there never are any issues, but there's a transgender woman working in a restaurant, the greens have a transgender MLA, there are lots of young people going into politics (Alliance, Labour Alternative, PBP...)
Most MLAs now DO support same-sex marriage, the DUP said they'd block it, but if they get below the seat number for the petition of concern they can't.
But yeah the voting is utterly screwed up, I totally agree with you there.
Some people will only vote bigot or what their church tells them to do.
