The American Civil Liberties Union actually sided with Republicans in urging the repeal of the rule, writing in a letter to members of Congress that, "We oppose this rule because it advances and reinforces the harmful stereotype that people with mental disabilities, a vast and diverse group of citizens, are violent."
Difficult territory. The ACLU's point is fair. And obviously it'd be better if nobody had access to firearms. Having a situation where you have to make firearms available to everyone to avoid unfair stigmatisation is just structurally fucked up.

Yep. Bit of head fuck. The liberal in me is like "equal rights for those with disabilities" then the liberal in me is like "even if it's a shit right..."

Fair enough, it we were talking anything other than machines designed solely for killing things.

The new alternative fact is that Donald is literate.

the pic is a year or two old. he's very clearly too vain to wear glasses most of the time, and i guess contacts are too fiddly with his incredibly large hands.

The reaction to Donald Trump's behaviour back in 1984. Not much has changed.
(It's a letter from the owner of Tampa Bay Bandits - an old American football team).

It's all because of his hair loss drug :)

Fuck, Bannon was appointed because Trump didn't read what he was signing.
Mr. Priebus bristles at the perception that he occupies a diminished perch in the West Wing pecking order compared with previous chiefs. But for the moment, Mr. Bannon remains the president’s dominant adviser, despite Mr. Trump’s anger that he was not fully briefed on details of the executive order he signed giving his chief strategist a seat on the National Security Council, a greater source of frustration to the president than the fallout from the travel ban.

Scary stuff.
From that article:
"For a man who sometimes has trouble concentrating on policy memos, Mr. Trump was delighted to page through a book that offered him 17 window covering options."

Jesus that is scary. No wonder he aways seems to be seeing these things for the first time when hes signing them

"With most of his belongings in New York, the only family picture on the shelf behind Mr. Trump’s desk is a small black-and-white photograph of that boss, Frederick Christ Trump."
Jesus!

Two alarming tweets so far today:
Any negative polls are fake news, just like the CNN, ABC, NBC polls in the election. Sorry, people want border security and extreme vetting.
I call my own shots, largely based on an accumulation of data, and everyone knows it. Some FAKE NEWS media, in order to marginalize, lies!

The execs at Twitter must be all over the place.
Unprecedented levels of international publicity and increased usage of the platform. But only because a full fledged loony is now using it to broadcast his descent into madness and destruction of the planet.

Imagine if they were just like "Shows over folks. No more Twitter."
What could possibly go wrong.
