A bit of BBQ sauce would balance that out just right.
I went European and had horseradish and Dijon mustard (sometimes mixed). Incidentally I still have your Tacx QR skewer if you ever want it back.

So for temp gauge I have one of the wireless Maverick models.
I have some BBQ Grommets that I want to use to run the wires without going through the lid.
To seal the lid I bought some of the FireBlack gasket.
I really like the Maverick. It has been completely rock solid. The grommets and seal will help to keep consistency of temp. I lose a lot of smoke out of the lid now and want to keep that on the meat and not ruin the probes.

Got myself a pizza conversion kit from Argos. Pretty good so far, but I've bought an infra red thermometer as the temps were too hot and I was cooking them in around 60s.
I think it's called a Bakerstone or something.

Also could have done with rotating so that one side wasn't burned!

Made some lovely koftes last night. Organic lamb mince, chopped onion, roasted and chopped pistachios, salt, cumin, cinnamon, Aleppo pepper. Bosh.
Grilled some whole Romano peppers too which were lovely.
Chuck it in some pitta bread with some tzatziki and salad and om nom nom.

I might do these at the weekend. I like making koftes, but hadn't thought of putting pistachio in them. Nice!

Has anyone used/got one of these?
Thinking about treating myself. I like the gas "turbo" so it means I don't have to wait so long in the eveningshttps://www.riversidegardencentre.co.uk/weber-performer-deluxe.html

I have the standard kettle BBQ and they are very good. I can't speak for the other elements but at its core you have a very good BBQ. Can't be all that bad.

No idea if its been mentioned previously but if no one has used a chimney starter before, I can thoroughly recommend it. Life changer.

Agreed. Picked one up for a fiver in Tesco (I know) last year. Not as pretty as the Weber one. But works a treat and I don't need half a box of matches each time (probably doing it wrong!).

Getting a bbq full of white hot coal in 20 mins is perfect, especially when your drunk and end up cooking in the dark like most of my bbqs!
