I love the feeling of dialling in a build, slowly improving little bits at a time.
New Stayer/Hulsroy stem is perf.
New 2.25"thunder butt and 2.35" rock razor combo is rad.Waltly Ti seatpost on the way.
Would love to build up my silver White Industries M16 hubs on 650b velocity blunt rims. kinda over the blue hubs.more here: http://stridsland.com/portfolio/the-gas-pipe-stem/

The best bit of news, congratulations!

One thing's for sure, Marin's craftsmanship was bloody incredible in the 90's.

Congratulations on your fatherhood.
Frame could be nickel plated -
• #442
Most of their frames are chromoly steel. Mostly Tange if I remember correctly. I have had quite a few and built them for friends.
Lovely workmanship and stylish paint for the most part. -

bottom box - something anodized blue and loud -

Such a beauty this one. Any chance you can remember what BB length / crankset (90s deore LX?) / chainring this is ?
-
• #449
Thanks! I always get excited to ride it again when visiting my parents. I don't know the bb length unfortunately, but im guessing pretty short as i could run the chainring on the outer position and still have a good chainline on the big sprocket. You're right about the cranks, and chainring is a superstar components narrow wide 40t i think

I have a Tequesta about the same age and the BB is 73mm.
I'm sure you've answered this already but what bars are these? Amazing bike by the way!
