I have a TK3, which I avoid riding as much as possible. Mainly because it is my wet weather bike. What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger.

Anyone got any views on/experience witb the tripster (particularly the "decade" model) in alu?
Looking to build something up for the on-trend adventure / overnight touring role and this is the cheapest option that seems to tick all the boxes. Otherwise I'm in a world of steel (genesis cdf / planet x kaffenback) or something that is much more expensive if I want discs and ability to carry stuff...

Looking forward to see @hippy 's finally built up!

I had a Tripster Decade and it was great. The only reason I don't any more is because I upgraded to the titanium version, which is even more great.

In fact, the frameset is still in my shed. If you take a size 54, I would sell. But it would involve shipping from Australia so might just be cheaper/easier to go local.

Lucky I already crashed my T2 into a car then I guess.

When it gets built.
I'd love to have it ready for an upcoming 600 because I'm running out of time to test it.

I've been riding a tripster for a while - wet weather winter warrior/ mud chariot.
I really like it.It's versatile, quite quick when it's not loaded, keeps your bum dry when fitted with SKSs.
I use a lightweight front rack for commuting.
I keep thinking if I had to only have one bike this would probably be it.
Here it is in Summer 'Light off roading Randonneur' Mode

Really Nice! :) color is better than I imagined. Hope you get those brakes fixed up! You could put the rear light in one of the seatstays, where there is a hole for pannier screws

Yeah, I picked the grey because I wanted it to look like the swarms of cheap, grey London commuters you see everywhere. Mostly for a theft deterrent compared to the LOOK AT ME! blue one. But the grey still looks pretty decent. I'm not going to put any helicopter tape on this though and let abrasion take its course :) Maybe some random electrical tape to rough it up.

The brakes work sweet. The only remaining issue is the rattle of one of the pads in the front caliper.

Yes I saw that picture, I meant that it could be placed lower, but thats a great spot to avoid accidental damage :)
