  • Clearances for another wheel with 26"

  • Does it handle fine with 700x23c?

  • Not sure. Havent used 23c for ages

  • If it does, 650x42 shouldn't be much of a departure

  • Hmm interesting. Good to get some knowledge on this 650b world. Making a forum donation now.

  • Very clever!

  • I only rode mine on 23c (dont ask) and it rode fine

  • This will be up for sale soon.
    V1 has come up.

    f+f (short)
    Brooklyn headset
    Brooklyn Seatpost

Looking for what I paid for it - £350

    Think @BlesUp has first refusal

    Cheers

  • Do it bless!

  • Joss plz

  • 650 would in theory allow big tyres without change to toe overlap.

    You're right.

Seeing that 700c x 23mm is more or less identical to a 650b x 42mm, so you might actually get less toe overlap with a 38mm tyres, a very slightly lowered BB, and slightly lighter handling.

  • I only rode mine on 23c (dont ask) and it rode fine

Since the frame is supposely base on an old Raleigh track frame, I would not be surprised, i even went touring on 23mm with panniers back in 00's where fat tyres is reserve for the retrogrouchies of Rivendell.

  • #fuckyeh2016

    v2 > v1 and PARK LIFE.

    The v2 and v1 had a baby:

Not bought but dibs'd and money will be layed down when ive recovered from the v1 spurge.
Cheers @beach and @HACHA for that.

Such fun to ride - few things to sort out.. Caliper might need looking at as rotor rub. When you try and adjust - the wheel gets loose? Talbot is just down the road - i'll get it in and see what he thinks. needs new chainring as well. Will be a straight swap with the profile already on there. cog needs replacing - new chain and paintjob eventually.

Want to get front sus on the front for jumpy mud
Any suggestions - I fee like @BlesUp might know..

  • yo this is actually dope.
depends if you're goin period vibe or straight function

  • Shit.. I hadnt thought about that.
Probably funcion for now - maybe a wanky period correct build in future.

Manitou? I know nothing about suspension or disc brakes. Or 26" / 24" tyres. Or eccentric bottom bracket's..

  • Lowered Fox 36s

Geo looks a bit weird with suspension forks though.

  • Caren's obsessed with 650c, don't think she's too fussed either way with the b variant...

  • Make 650c great again ..

I predict '650c plus' in 2017, you heard it here first.

  • Yes it does look weird.
BMW - funcion over form in general.

  • Who told you about my new fork?!?!

  • @Thrasher You're welcome. Hopefully it'll be a fun project.

  • Hey nice V1, Trasher!
The park bike is so funfun to ride!

  • Got the same "Goodthings" on my V1 fork, is that a group or something?

  • Rust brothers.
