Many people say they're going to appeal. A relatively small percentage actually try to. An even smaller percentage get permission to appeal, which she'd need in order to launch an appeal in the first place. Personally I can't see any grounds she'd have for bringing an appeal, having read the judgment, but far me it from me to discourage people from giving more money to lawyers.

what's the risk of losing an appeal other than it probably costs a shitload in lawyers fees and KH looks like the sort of person that should be keeping an eye on her outgoings?

I hope she loses all her money and has to start scrimping and scraping and looking for cheap meal recipes.

Costs.

I was going to write "She is appealling"; but she isn't.
Your spelling is ambiguous between 'appealing' and 'appalling'. :)

And it's definitely the appalling option that is appealing in this instance...

Appallingly appealing?

Yes, I was going to say--is it the appalling option or the appealing option?

I hope she has to renew her passport last minute before going away, and her passport photos are rejected on a small technicality, and she has a really stressful day that makes her wonder if her holiday was worth it.

I hope she doesn't need to visit the local corner shop for milk or sugar because Waitrose was closed and had to be served by a friendly Iranian family.

She does pose some challenging questions: Does the current multiculturalism we live under in this country work? I don't like the direction that she chooses to take on it...namely the sewer. Is it s surprise neither her or Trump have bothered talking/tweeting about the white supremacist that went to NY and killed a black person with a sword in preparation for a mass killing of blacks. They haven't talked about finding solutions to this deranged behaviour yet. I wonder why...

I am curious to know what the grounds would be. Ianal but nothing I've heard seems controversial about this case.
I listened to that R4 media show and KH kept positioning it as hinging totally as being based on how the claimant "felt" and claimed no evidence of loss was provided.

I don't think she does pose challenging questions, because most of what I've heard seems to come from a totally falsified position. Within her diatribe it is surely inevitable topics worth exploring pop up.
I find the whole "multiculturalism" debate fruitless. No one ever gives 1) a proper definition of multiculturalism, and 2) a clear explanation of what "working" or succeeding really means.
The appeal can only be on a point of law. The law used by the judge was pretty solid. Only open question is the quantum and it was not so extreme as to be wrong.
