  • Lovely plants!
No fruit on mine yet but they are playing catch up in the polytunnel and coming along nicely. Pics soon.

  • Ha, thanks!

Thanks, I do have a couple more but they are not worth taking pictures of (very small, no fruit, sometimes not even some flowers..)

Curious to see how yours are doing, heard you guys had quite a bit of rain so guess they will catch up eventually..

  • We did, but unfortunately the rain doesn’t fall inside the polytunnel ;-)
However I am keeping them watered and they seem to be doing pretty well. I got really behind with potting them on (from little to bigger pots) so many are still tiny.

  • Haha, I meant they didn't get as much sun as they could have, because of the rainy weather

Yea my suggestion would be to give them the biggest possible pots, right now (no stepping up from one size to the next but give them as much room for developing roots now)..

  • While browsing I just stumbled over Early Jalapeño - might also be interesting for you

  • Here’s a couple. I must have 50 chilli plants in total... labelling went awry though

  • My chillis are flowering again for the second time this year. Given its a bit late in the summer now will the fruits actually mature?

  • How long did the first berries take from flowering to ripe?

  • Not sure what this chap is, picked him up for £2 on a roadside stall in Suffolk a few years ago. Always in flower or fruiting, slows down a bit in the winter but still cracks on through.

Not very hot, but a nice flavour, small size makes them great for a salad. The fruit on my mini lemon tree are ripening so I just need to wait another 12-15 years for my avocado tree to bare fruit and we'll have a salad

  • Nice! Cute chilies, cute flowers, cute plant!
This would make a great bonsai-chili..

  • So proud of this one (posted pics a good while back when it was a rather wimpy thing with one berry on it) - now going pretty strong.
Also colour change from green to red never ceases to amaze me -

  • My bought plants are doing well & signs of fruit at last.

  • Perhaps not so bad, all 3 plants have good fruit in places still & many more flowers. I've pulled all the bad ones & bagged them for burning when our burn ban ends 1st Oct. Ditto with the Tomato crop.
