8 including English
English is English. Colonial english is lower case "e"
That's 4, not 5. I stand corrected.

The "appropriate contribution" is nice too, how much does a VISA cost again?
Working visas are not cheap at all. Sounds like a dig from Amber "notaclue" Rudd ;)

There was a thread on Twitter the other day about the changes to visas etc. If I remember rightly it was in relation to someone's wife/family and the change in costs was staggering. I tried to look for the thread again just now but I can't find it.

Would appear to make much more sense for the UK resident to move, rather than the partner.

Yes, and I think recent statistics appear to show that trend in effect.

Also, if you work for an International company, it certainly looks better to be remunerated in Euro's rather than GBP, as one of those two currencies may be about to plummet. I'm seriously considering my options on this front.

I'm counting myself very lucky to be paid in Bitcoin. Can exchange for any fiat currency as needed.

It's all staggeringly expensive but they are going to charge for customer service?
Joke.
Btw for mn1 to register a birth as a UK birth...well...it's over £980 and amnesty says the real cost is more £380. The UK makes it very expensive to register your kids born here as UK citizens too.

I always love how those spam scripts have bad spelling.
It's there for a reason, to test the gullibility of the receiver.

I thought this was fake at first sight. It seems not. Big popup of May flipping the bird at the cliffs of Dover.

Still... A bit sad it has to be like this. Can't we deal with this like grownups etc etc...

Oh hello inarguable negative effect of referendum!
The UK was the worst performing economy within the EU in Q1.
From what I read, its not so much worrying that the UK is bottom in Q1 but more concerning for Brexit possibilities given that it appears that the EU is beginning to thrive, even with the cloud of Brexit hanging over it.
