  • BTW Dutch "frietje oorlog" is chips with mayonnaise, ketchup, white onions, currysauce (not the Indian one, but a red sweet a little spicy sauce), sateh sauce (peanut based) as we are talking strange after drinking foods... It sounds revolting but it's yummy.

Can't beat the FEBO eating from the wall vending machines either :P

  • So according to the Torygraph, the state of the economy is the fault of the Remain campaign.

  • "frietje oorlog" = chip war. you sure?

  • Such revisionism. Much denial

  • All those sauces fighting it out with chips on the battlefield of deliciousness....

    Seems à propos

  • A-ma-zing.

Would it not be much wiser to try to make the best of Brexit, to use it as an opportunity to reform and turbo-charge the British economy?

That does sound better! Let's do that!

  • We could, for example, scrap the minimum wage, any restriction on working hours, and make the taxable salary range from £10,000 to £100,000, over which you pay nothing.

Oh, and sell the NHS to American health-care concerns by the weekend, obvs.

  • Would it not be much wiser to try to make the best of Brexit, to use it as an opportunity to reform and turbo-charge the British economy?

It's so easy! I didn't think of it in those terms.

Would it not also be much wiser to make the best of Brexit, to use it as an opportunity for World Peace, a cure for cancer and the first stage of a base on Mars?

  • Meanwhile in Ireland:

  • A 100%.

The name is as strange as the sauce combination... :):)

It seems the sauces vary per region, I know them as the full whack combo.

  • NI is still part of the UK...so they are poaching NI jobs too. Some rumors about companies not settling already going around...

    So far for Irish solidarity!

  • I predicted this revisionism would happen 2 weeks ago...
    ...people can be SO predictable.

  • Also in today's telegraph:

it's not smoking 60 a day that that will cause you to die from lung cancer - it's the warnings on the fag packets!

  • Expects public health to occupy even less mental space in the new world order than it currently does.

  • Warnings kill now? I SEE these people complaining about "younger generations must be soft" have a point after all!

  • Interesting to see that 2 days earlier the Telegraph were calling upon UKIP to elect a leader because we need strong leadership from them as a party. Seems they are veering away from being the Torygraph towards becoming the UKIPograph (not as catchy a name, but still...)

  • That does sound better! Let's do that!

    I lol'd.

The parable of brexit right there (and the rise of Trump while you're at it).

  • My neighbors got high car insurance renewal quotes...got blamed on Brexit by the broker.

Now that sounds like possibly BS to me. As work is all done in the UK, there may be an increase in price for parts of 15% for some brands as parts are sourced outside the EU...could that be it, or are insurers telling porkies?

  • I imagine there must be some fair value calculations in valuing the insurance payments into the future that depend on interest / inflation rates.

I can't be bothered to think about whether they've moved favourable or not (I imagine not though) so he's probably not talking complete porkies.

  • Tx.

Now when will this be blamed on the EU I wonder... :P

  • I didn't say greatest, I said profound

  • A few weeks ago, a Malaysian working for me got her British citizenship - much excite, so jubilate etc. A few days later, the Brexit vote happened - she's been devastated about being part of what she sees as a country that doesn't want her and greatly concerned about the uncertainty it's caused. This morning she resigned and is moving to Germany. We're expecting to lose a lot more good people because of this.
