Why doesn't England just leave the UK?
Because the complexities of that would be even harder to than Brexit. Because there would be even more border disputs. Because the Unionists would either fight it or insist on going with them (or do one then the other). Because most Kippers have a hard time differentiating between England and the U.K. Because even the Kippers who do know the difference see England's natural place as being on the top of it.
That's not even a third of the reasons why not.

Why not just say we have. Give them a special passport.

Why stop there? Let's stay in/ leave by county/ constituency.
Or everyone that voted out can just pay more for food and earn less.
-
• #17061
this is exactly what should be staged! SAY we've left, do a couple of weeks of army on the streets, power cuts, blue passports > then gradually ease back to 'normal'. No-one will notice the difference. All the borderless travel, frictionless trade &c &c that continues can be put down to a total cave-in by Jonny Foreigner.

Wall off the cities, wall off Scotland, wall off the motorways and trainlines (and dig some little tunnels underneath them for the mole people of Brexitland to pass through). The metrolib elite stays in, the bumpkins out in the swamps can leave the EU and return to thatched huts, eating worms and nettles

He is hardly alone in that.

My idea with this was that additionally a blue passport should be treated as if we had left: requires visa, no right to work in EU, etc...

It's full Black Mirror now isn't it? May votes against her own deal, despite knowing that the EU won't renegotiate, so we're fucked.
She'll go to Brussels, come back empty handed, blame the evil EU, with support from the tabloid press and we'll crash out with no deal and the economy will tank.
Self harm on a national scale.

Haven't they already issued a statement saying the Brady amendment means nothing? The wA is closed

Looks like the border will just be a line of evenly-spaced posts we can hitch our unicorns to.

Romans walled off scotland first, so no copy forin ideas.

• #17072
Hell yeah.
Oh...
Unfortunately this might not work, I know of a person, who voted for brexit, yet has obtain an Irish passport...you know just in case. She moans about forin people to people she works with, her boss is forin.... so are a few of the other employees. The boss gave her a verbal warning to stop, as the co workers were complaining.

That was to keep out the Scots. We want to keep the Brexiteers in. It's completely different!
I suppose they could escape via the sea, what with the webbed digits and that, in search of food and jobs. Oh, how we'd laugh, when Brexiteers are forced to become economic migrants.

I see no way in which this is not a completely accurate prediction.
