Reasons given were “i am bored of the whole fucking thing and just want to get on with it”
This is the one that I hate the most. I always try to get across to people who say this, if we leave the EU on the 29 March that's just the start of it. What we've done over teh last few years is the easy deal - it's the withdrawal deal. The REAL work starts after March 29 as we try to negotiate our future relationship. If you want it to be over, campaign for Remain so we can get back to some semblance of normal. That's the only chance of it being 'over' and I wouldn't even say it's a brilliant chance, but it's better than the alternative.

He still seems to get laid (EEEEEEEEEEEEGH) and no he won't lose his pension...
...I just find it baffling that some people see him as a "man of the people" with all his wealth.
"but he could have made much more as a banker" is the response I got to that, ehm, ok then. We know now he made a fortune pretending Leave would lose and then do quick trading, but ok...

When is the vote expected to take place?
-
• #16606
~7pm, that seems to be when they vote on big stuff like that...
-
• #16607
So they have enough time to hit the subsidised bars afterwards
-
• #16608
Unsurprisingly, government staves off the vote by 19. £1bn bribe well spent then.
And so it continues...

Corbyn immediately says that he won’t enter negotiations with no deal still on the table. Well there’s something.

just as well she got her top chums in the DUP to vote for her, that could have gone the other way.
-
• #16612
Fucking hell - Kate Hoey was there - chumming around with JRM, Johnson, Redwood, Cash and all those other fuckers. She's just trolling the Labour Party at this stage.
-
• #16613
True! And she is such a prize **** I think she is too bitter even for the DUP.
The Traditional Unionist Party* is her natural home if you ask me :)
*for the less familiar with the reality bending tribalism of NI politics. We have even worse than the DUP. Oh and Hoey was born here.

Having burned her bridges with Corbyn-Labour,
they represent her only chance of the sinecure of elevation to the House of Lords,
when she is inevitably de-selected by her constituency party. -

The man is more than a fraud. He is a prime example of the corruption he claims to be fighting.
His comment about his job is easily put down with his attendance record with the fisheries panel. Hugh fernely whitingwhatever did more.

Laid. Um employing his mistress as his aide as well as his 2nd wife?
He was a failed banker. https://www.ft.com/content/02cad03a-844f-11e4-bae9-00144feabdc0 but lets not get the truth confused with the utter bullshit.
Have you met him?
-
• #16620
I met Hoey a few times and she is quite odd. I have met JC a few times and he is nice, and yes I met him before he was famous ;)
-
• #16621
Rather not...he makes my stomach recoil.
I agree with all the criticism. I'm baffled some people still defend his work (nothing done in EU parliament, doesn't attend, nepotism, fraud) or his general behaviour or see him as somebody who is "one of them".
But he is "successful". Ok then. Maybe they just want him to annoy people they dont like. Like a real life internet troll. Dragging not just a forum but the UK down :/

Apparently a statement from May at 10pm...
-
• #16623
By successful I know you mean liar liar pants on fire.
I met him once at the EU parliament, on a motorbike thing. He made my skin crawl, the faux chummy you are my mate ho ho false smile. The it is us against them.. Made sure I got another MEP who was lovely, nice and felt comfortable talking with.

Well that’s fucked then

But who actually gives a fuck what she says? Pissing in the wind doesn't even come close.
I hope Matt Frei challenged him on his attendance at the European Parliament after he said “I do whatever I need to do to do my job”, because he clearly doesn’t.
The man is a fraud.
