There's a custom painter here in Tokyo who did a Focus in the same vein as the Porsche.
His Instagram is pretty good ( https://www.instagram.com/swamp_jpn/ )

I can't decide if I want the cuts in English or German.
-
• #31
The cuts were german on the porche because it was painted in germany, so the cuts on this one should be in english

This is a very good point.
I wonder what @Oliver Schick thinks...

porsche is a german brand too

Subscribed, this is going to rule.

Yep, so it only follows that the words on the Brooklyn should be in American language. Whatever that is.
-
• #41
I think you should do them in German.

I've just stripped this down to the frame and it all came apart so easily - testament to what greasing everything properly and decent maintenance levels the previous owner clearly carried out can do.
The headset, bottom bracket (Phil) and the stem/seatpost/collar (all Thomson) are all in minty-fresh pristine condition.
It'll be off to Ali at some point this week.
I'm going to have a crack at building the wheels myself - I'm thinking all black Chubs on Archetypes and will ask @dancing james to offer guidance as well as coffee.
Cranks will be either Sugino 75, Onions or Rotor - obviously all black.
@Dom recommended Ribmo tyres having heard @DoktorPepe sing their praises, so I guess I'll give them a try.

have just got home, you are welcome to pop over. also have the park tool truing stand and tension meter you can use.
-

is this gonna be braklz? you could consider road tubeless disc rims and then have something like hutchinson sectors or 28mm schwalbe One tyres.
-
• #45
It certainly is going to be braklz.
I'm relatively traditional with rims and tyres, so will probably look at more conventional solutions.
-
• #46
It certainly is going to be braklz.
In that case, you can always go for some 29ers rims.
-
• #47
iirc the Brooklyn has generous clearance hence the suggestion for a larger tyre

It'll look more like Pepe's summer set up.
Until I manage to scratch it, it'll be for high days and dry days in the UK.
I'm not.
The Indy Fabs is in Dubai.
