I never thought he'd make up that 3min. Tomorrow, can he hold off the newly juiced Nibs though?

Luck = skill
But Nibs boss = Vino so fuck that.

Maybe its an Astana thing. Aru did the move on contador in the vuelta was it?
Love him or hate him. He knows what he wants. I just hope Chavez can hold on. Maybe OGE should get two in the breakaway.

Fractured rib and foot and side problems for Kruijswijk, I doubt he will start today.
About yesterday's stage winner's commentary I referred to earlier, I fully understand one has to stay on top of his bicycle to be in contention. And that if you descend faster, which is a skill, you get to the bottom of the next climb faster. And that racing is racing, etc.
What I find a bit striking is that Nibali seems to claim that his improved position is all his own doing (being angry and strong) and does not say a word about his opponent's crash being a bigger factor than any effort he could have put out. Anyway here's a nice pic of when it was still all good going uphill, I won't complain any more about lack of respect from the guy who is probably Italy's biggest hero after today.

Kruijswijk is starting apparently.

On the Nibali doubters, he was 36 seconds down on last Saturday's stage, which shows his form was thereabouts. He lost time on Sunday partly because he had to change bikes, then had a bad day on Tuesday after the rest day. All the talk about his form is due to the fact that the Italian media expected him to win the race at a canter, as the only one of the Big 4 riding the race. They do love a polemica during the race so created one.
He is traditionally good in the final week of a GT, so it's no surprise that he's come good when it matters.

So Steven (way easier to spell) has a fractured rib and foot issues.
I'm not one to talk, but I do wonder where the line between personal health and sporting pride is. I can't help but think his team should have retired him for his own good. It becomes masochistic at a point, and sad.

Didnt tom boonen crack his skull in the tour and continue to the finish with concussion . If nibbs wins it rather puts a damper on the whole event in my view . Once a cheat always a cheat eg dwain chambers and that onigrou. Landis all over again and testosterone .

A racer will race until they're dead, and not stop a moment before. That's the problem.

so far, so good... he's still on Valverde's wheel

Ha! Rookie. He should've got some practice in.

• #447
Forgetting the crash, he did ride away from Chaves so could very well have won if Snowman was still there.
-
• #448
when was nibali done for doping?
-
• #449
Never, but that doesn't seem to have stopped him becoming the ultimate bogeyman. Not everything he says goes through a PR machine and he once took a conspicuous sticky bottle, so clearly he is the devil.

Come on Chaves, nooooooo!
Kruijswijk has a fractured rib. Ouch.
