That's where the lasers go.
Oh and the rack, mudguards and Dynamo light too.
No rack to begin with but Matt has put them on as you never know and the frame has the mounts at the rear too.

I think it'll look awesome painted up on the forks. This won't get a Talbot Headbadge either so it won't be over kill.

I really need one of these forks in my life...
-
• #80
Amazing, I love how the fork looks. How much does it weigh?
-
• #81
Er, weight isn't really a consideration in this one :)
When I find out, I'll post it up!
-
• #82
I know, wouldn't be my first concern either. Just interested because ... reasons. Looking forward to see the paint!

So exciting!
First pic: missed a bit, I think?
Second pic: are you planning on being particularly careless with this fork?
-
• #86
Thought so!
Can't wait.

More worried about all the holes in the blades - assume they all have specific purposes?!

Rumor has it that this could be ready by the weekend.
Many funny stories with this one, that Matt isn't finding that funny just yet......

• #89

Its a true epic.
Its got everything: Trains, mini despot bikes, sparkly paint incidents, lots of swearing and James Cordon.

OT: What do you do in the Rail industry? I used to work in the industry and am quite partial to a bit of stock.
-

Ahem.....
I'm an independent environmental/consents consultant but I just happen to get and enjoy a lot of work in Rail. I sort out envo issues, sort licenses and deal with property/3rd party issues in the main. It's nice and varied.
What did you used to do?
-

Ok. Quite along way away from my old role then. I used to design points. Big heavy dirty engineering. Mainly CAD/ office based but went track side a fair bit at night to test stuff that didn't work. Stock rolling past at 3am. Good laugh.
Bike is looking good by the way!

Not too closely linked, but I do a lot with the civils stuff - gantries, signal posts, REB & LOC bases, right through to new structures and all the stuff that comes with new bits of railway.
I don't directly get involved with the S&C in the main, but where there is new track kit going in there is always ballast etc going in/out and us envo lot get all the testing and waste work.
Same thing with the trackside at night seeing all the kit and the world from a different perspective. Over NYE the folk on the viaducts got a great view of the fireworks/ensuing carnage :)
A few more photos coming through in a bit, of the bike mind.

Haaa, love the old school BR logo!
Yeah you do see the world from a different perspective doing a night shift track side. Great seeing how the whole network carries on after the last train is in. I've never done a night stint in London though. Had a chance to do one at Liverpool St, but plans changed. That would have been good.
As a head badge it's awesome.
