The Fairlight website/ordering system is so terrible.

I’ve had two customers recently who had Fairlights on order but cancelled their orders after already lengthy waiting times got pushed back, and just got Genesis frames instead.

Paying a £500 deposit and waiting ages for a mass produced bike is just rediculous.

In fairness, the 853 Croix de Fer is comparable, but probably cheaper & certainly uglier.

They both bought Fugio’s instead.

I don’t think any bikes of this type are particularly nice to look at TBH, but that’s subjective.

I almost bought one; I'd even signed up for a fitting at their preferred shop but in the end the delays didn't fit with my urge to be riding a new bike NOW. It wasn't cheap for sure and the lead time was 3-4 months from memory.

Deda F-56 seems to be the Gravel fork of choice for a lot of builders/manufacturers currently (It's wheat Genesis use on the Fugio) - Big clearance, Mudguard capability, much cheaper than Columbus/Enve offerings (and more clearance), looks good. Columbus Futura is nice, but pricey, and less clearance. Enve is nice, but rediculously pricey.

You'll also need a new headset on the Surly as the stock fork is 1 1/8 straight steerer, not tapered.

Hit me up if you pull the trigger and want a fork - can supply any of the above with a healthy LFGSS discount - custom painted, or stock finish.

whiskey no9, bloody lovely. 5 year warranty, no rider weight limit, happy for jumps etc. just no mounts.

That’s the one. No Uk distro is saddening at it means no trade buy too high for my price range unless I sell my whiskey for nearly rrp!

Maybe you can get something from China. I'd be wary of using racks on it though. Custom steel forks would be nice.

It's the same ADK fork that's been on the Pinnacle Arkose the last few years. Not downtalking the Deda, just saying that you may pick one up at a good price under another brand.

(Checks price of Arkose fork to replace the crappy Camino Ti fork again)

Just pay cost mate. Their Spork V2 fits the bill bang on. Or talk to someone on here that lives in the US and can ship it to you personally. There's a few people on here that go back and forth.

I'm losing the plot with builds but been using my arkose as a test mule recently with 650b crossmax sl mtb wheels and rival 1x group. Makes me wonder why I bother with mtb hardtails.
