To clarify, are you talking about the new disc brake Triban or the older rims brake model?
-
• #6704
On the P X website, the 700 x 32 Clement doesn't show that it is Tubeless...
-
• #6705
I didn't says it's tubeless, may be more of a flaff if you're new to it especially on a winter bike.
-
• #6706
Yes the new Disc Triban 520
"wanted to fit some 700 x 32's was going to just fit Gatorskins, but am now thinking of going tubeless with Schwalbe X-One Speed MicroSkins.. Haven't ever ridden them, is it worth the faff.."
-
• #6707
Yes the new Disc Triban 520
Then ignore everything I said and go crazy, I did not know that, and that model can go up to 36c tyres according to Decathlon.
Go for it, for a winter/commuter, tubeless is a bit of a flaff, but if you're set on it, don't forget to buy stan rims tape as well for a good fit.
Do bear in mind the rims are apparently very hard to install tyres.

I keep trying to find a replacement for my arkose but I just can't quite do it. Its pretty perfect for me. I just wish it was a bit snappier in the handling department.
Ditto, hence going for the 2019 Arkose which now have a steeper head angle than our one.

I’ve now started using the old Genesis Fugio 853 cross frame which just about clears 700x42 and has handling more akin to a racier road bike. Downside of it being a CX frame is no guard mounts but it’s fine for road and dry gravel.
Always a compromise somewhere until you go custom hey -

I've had the chance to have a look at that bike and weird enough it's the fork that limits it to 36c. I'm sure the rear has enough room for ±40mm

Anybody with the new Triban, does it come with this stem?
Actually, I think it comes on the "adept" whatever that is
-
• #6712
Went to the Ribble store in Preston at the weekend and had a little go around the warehouse of the CGR Ti - not much use but it looks and feels lovely.
They also had an Adventure 725 which I was much more interested in. Didn't seem keen on answering questions about the loop bars that come as standard.
-
• #6713
mine doesn't have it, but i also got a rare "adept+" version without the RC 520 branding, so dunno, but I don't think the regular one does
-
• #6714
Shame, it looks quite cool
-
• #6715
I think the new gravel version is gonna have it?

I'm going to sell my Arkose SSCX. Cannot be bothered to swap the parts to convert it to be geared and a friend has offered to sell me his geared one.
I'll put an ad up in the classifieds at some point but if someone wants it then give me a shout. It's an XL and I'm after £250 for it. I'm in Manchester but will be in London in two weeks so could bring it down with me.
-
• #6717
what does an XL translate to in cm money?
-
• #6718
Fit like a 58cm road bike with slightly longer HT.
-
• #6719
Any idea on how to fit my bluemels to my spec Diverge? Thought I'd be able to transfer them over no problem but the lack of seatstay bridge isn't helping
-
• #6720
You need a clip on seatstay bridge, I thought they came with them new, may be wrong!
Been a while since I touched one, are there mountings under the seatstay?
-
• #6721
I'll have to have a rummage around! There's a bolt hole at the start of the chainstays + mount points next to the dropout so it should be bodgeable
-
• #6722
I thought they came with them new
They still do.
@ginllfixit You had a ride on the Adventure 725? Eyeballing that as well.
