In defence of Quoc, I would add that their customer service is super super good. I had a slight issue with the lining of mine and they immediately sent a replacement pair, no questions asked. Didn't even want me to return the old pair.

Mine will be too small then. 41 maybe 42.

It's got a 90mm stem on there so shorter than the 110mm that was on the road bike it replaced but not tiny. The offer stands, even if you just fancy seeing one in the flesh (aluminium).

And Quoc is a real small indie business, full of enthusiasts and real people. Not a mega conglomerate/owned by a weapons manufacturer (Giro) etc.

I might take you up on this next week!

What does the owner aspire to do with the business? Keep it independent with strong values? Or grow to sell to a conglomerate?

Shimano xc7 is beet balance of value and features.

Also 54cm and also in SE London, but with an 80mm stem at the mo

Also to add, I’d love to wear Quoc and ignore the occasional failures as they do look great and them being an independent UK company is great, but they just don’t cater to the wide footed (or should i say, not narrow-footed) human like Lake do

Using geometry geeks, my old xla measurements and chat gpt (don't judge me), I think I'm suited to a 52 Kinesis but touching and feeling it is good.
I am leaning towards that or the velobuild. -

Or large footed
-
• #32763
Exactly. Biggest size is 47 which they say translates to 46 from most other brands. Only one width too----->>>

Mines a 52, think I’ve got an 80mm stem on it, in E8 / E2

That's good to know... there's always gonna be good and bad about certain things.

Surely that should be reason enough? :)

Most durable shoe I've ever had were giro privateers. Only changed out of boredom and because I was wearing down the soles.

I have a small ‘On One Free Ranger’ (Carbonda 696) lying around if it’s of any interest

I’m not letting him buy another Planet-X.

Even if I position it as the thinking man’s Enve MOG?

Somehow whenever I see Cannondale I read it like Leo Dicaprio's character from Catch me if you Can. Not Cannon-dah-lee, not Cannon-day-lee, Cannondale!
I've seen a few images of the soles coming away, plus they use their own brand of Boa which I'm not too sure about... I love Sidi road shoes, Lake look ok, but loads of leather!!!!
