  • Please do, or at least share a route/gpx so I can fantasise about riding there.

  • Wonderful photos. If heaven exists it will be full of days riding through terrain like this. What a tonic for a dreary wet morning.

  • Fml that’s beautiful

  • all stunning but the last one is chefs kiss
deserving of their own thread with a write up and routes..

  • Superb ! Dolomites off road looks wonderful

  • Yes it is, we didn't know it's not allowed to ride bikes up there. We came up from Lago di Landro with a 3.5h hike a bike and only found out at the top, at which point we rode it anyway.

  • Will do a little write up later, in the meantime, here is the "as ridden" full route.

  • Gurt lush that. I've just been fantasising about doing something of this ilk next month. +1 to see a route if you have it, would help formulate some plans for sure.

:edit: As if by magick. That's a lot more kms than I was planning but great to see the general route. Thanks for sharing

  • Wow, just stunning!

I've been fortunate to ride in the Dolomites a few times, but always on tarmac. This has inspired me to add doing it off road to the bucket list.

  • When we were up at Tre Cime last year, there were a few people riding up there even though the signs say you can't. The main circuit trail was so ridiculously busy with hikers I don't think it would be very fun to ride anyway. Similar to your photos, we spent the previous day on the Cadini (I think pictured in your last photo) looking up at Tre Cime and it was a much nicer experience.

  • The last bit of the trail wasn't particularly fun to ride, too busy and slightly worried about being fined. Getting a mix of kudos and menacing looks from hikers. Still glad to have done it.

Hiked through there before, I recommend going at the crack of dawn for a peaceful experience.

  • I've ridden all around there but not seen the 3 peaks before. Looks a bit like Pedraforca with a bonus pointy bit. Looks glorious adds to bucket list

  • There's a dead end road climb up to just below them, which they've used a few times in the Giro in recent years. It's bloody steep though, the first time I did it I wanted to take my hat off and wasn't confident of being able to take one hand off the bars to remove it and stay upright.

  • Or like Torres del Paine, but in Italy

  • Great photos, what bars are these?

  • i think the closest I've got is climbing Giau or the SS49 which I rode in TCR6 and 7. It looks stunning. Unlike TCR we did get to actually see some of the amazing Dolomites from the road at least during ALPI4000. Doesn't look like I'm going to be able to ride in Italy in August as planned though. :(

  • Torres del Paine

Ha, I had to google that but it seems friends of mine were there last year because it was already Starred in my Google Maps after they sent us an awesome pic from their trip :)

  • I think @moog has been there recently

  • Probs. I have zero memory for place names. My mates weren't there cycling. I could look through moog's thread but you've summoned him already so I'll just wait for him to post pics :D

  • German gravel mixxer. It's actually pretty good here (Odenwald region), I'm just not getting enough time to put big rides in because I also have to hang out with the fam.

  • This was the closest we got to Torres del Paine, rain was forecast so we pressed on. We got great weather hiking up to Laguna de los Tres in El Chaltén the week before so we were happy enough.

  • Lovely photos!!

  • Does anyone of any brands which are British, doesn't have to be made in the UK who make the following

    Saddles
    Bar Tape

Other than Brooks, as not sure about the Cambium saddles they make. Decided to keep the Stayer and try and get as much UK products on it as possible.

Other than the Groupset thats on it
