Shellac are crushed beetles.

Biodynamic potato-print it is.
-
• #15904
I thought bio-dynamism relied upon Rams' horn burying at the peak of a Full Moon?
-
• #15905
False.
-
• #15906
You probably just put your ram horns in landfill I guess? And get no potatoes to print with. Who’s laughing now?

these
Nice. Placenta buried below I hope.

not artisanal Shoreditch shellac, produced by a barista's sister

Anyone know why the non driveside chain stay is droopy? I can't think of a reason for it. Something to do with mounting the brake?
-
• #15911
I would guess that because it has a dropper post as standard, the seat tube is quite short and therefore the seat stays are quite low and the angle between the seat and chainstays becomes quite tight to fit a flat mount brake in. Most companies tend to put a bend in the seat stays so they go up nearly vertically for a few CM first

Yeah looks tight around the caliper. I'm not sold on the handling of that set up though, having a neutral steering position, that much stack and rise, and a steep head tube angle.

G-One Ultrabite 27.5x2 anyone seen them for less than 50 squids anywhere?
-
• #15914
Showing at £36 on wiggle for me. Tan wall mind.
Edit, lies. That's the 700. £44 for 650 -

Bike 24 are usually cheap for Schwalbe ... but brexit.
-
• #15916
Yeah, I've noticed a £10 "gravel premium" for 650B tyres. Haters.
-
• #15917
Ah perfect thanks, I wasn't entirely sure. Think I prefer the droopy chainstay more than droopy seatstays aesthetically

New favourite bike? :)

The Schwalbe? There's not much else in 650b/27/5 x 2. It's at the awkward crossover where most people are riding MTBs and using 2.1 and above. Do you have reviews handy? Would be interesting to see where they're not geart. I got the idea for them from the OpenUp post about what tyres to run and they were rating the Schwalbes

They were about the G-One Speed but I'm after much gnarlier, more knobby tyres.

Without a doubt

I've found 27.5/2.1 G-one Bites good. Found them to work well in everything but really thick mud and don't feel too bad on road. Even coped pretty well with riding through snowy golf courses yesterday.

I've got a set of Maxxis Crossmark 27.5x 1.95 (which is of course tiny compare to 27.5x2)
https://www.bikeradar.com/reviews/components/tyres/mountain-bike-tyres/maxxis-crossmark-tyre-review/
They never really fitted my frame, bt had one on the front for a while and they seemed decent.
has a problematic carbon footprint.
