  • Whale Oil Beef Hooked.

  • My brother's a solicitor in Chiswick, I asked if he knew Jason Wells. He said "Yes. Horrible man".

  • would be good to have a pint with a brief to see if there is any legal argument regarding a class action case against Rod "i'm a cunt" Liddle
may just be the ramblings of a bike fan, but
if cyclists can truly be defined as "a social demographic" , like people of differing spiritual beliefs, races, or sexual persuasions, this article could arguably be inciting hate against a social group,
''if (insert another demographic of your choice) behaved...."
just today in Herne's befamed Hill by the lights on half moon lane, turning under the bridge towards the prince regent of lfgss fame, i was in the right lane, 'command' position for my own safety and was deliberately ''aimed'' at by two bods in a car who told me to ''get off the road'', and then they shot off
if drivers strongest argument is that i don't pay road tax, i would gladly pay tax to ride on a proper cycle infrastructure

  • are cyclists as a demographic set to become victims of 'legitimate' intolerance one fears?
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ikrz4RFDhjA

  • Londons a touch hostile then ?

From my limited understanding of law, whom ever gets out of a vehicle first (reguardless of who is in the wrong) is open to a charge of "road rage"

Getting back in said vehicle and then getting out again to abuse and threaten another road user..... double whammy.

I am not from London, my understanding of the law is that lamping him after the threats of harm and making my escape and calling the police to report it should be good under the clause " i was in fear of my life and d-locked him to escape to safety and phone the police before he murdered me in the street"

Never used one of his caffs before, never will after that display of mangement, imagine sending food back to kitchen..... still he might throw you out before you paid the bill :-)

  • not a troll fan , but fuck, it's funny

  • Send the link to Mi5 maybe the owner/chain require a looking into via Mi5 or even worse the tax man......

  • MI5 get loads of tip offs from Tripadviser.

  • i feel sorry for his wife if she gotta 'put up' with his willy tbh
hopefully she goes to the arms of another for the real deal whilst he's out working or making a cunt of himself , and she just with him to cain his benjamins, colloquially known as "rinsing him"

  • if cyclists can truly be defined as "a social demographic" , like people of differing spiritual beliefs, races, or sexual persuasions, this article could arguably be inciting hate against a social group,

Welp, Manchester managed it with the goth crowd http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lancashire-22018888

  • welp? i've never been called one of those before, but have used the term describing others
but that link is a good start
"But, our correspondent said, without a change in legislation, police in Greater Manchester can do little more than record subculture hate as an element in a crime.

The force says by becoming the first to do so it will raise awareness of the problem. "

if the incidents recorded end up in court convictions, this should mean a judicial precident has been set regarding hate incidents against 'subcultures', and Liddle could be up before a beak
something nice and ironic like wiping him out financially (if he lost he would pay class actors costs, and whatever he has left should go towards developing a safe cycle infrastructure)

  • Perhaps Brew cafe will sponsor safer cycle paths (possible legal tax dodge there too) be less cyclists getting in his way then.......

  • Actually he must be skint, just rechecked, that's a 10plate Disco diesel he's driving so he must be poor as everyone with money in the country has a Range Rover (not the gash Disco based sport versions) or a Landy or Subaru outback.
Unless it's a city thing, but Discos tend to fall over or fall apart out in the sticks when used in proper 4x4 settings like fields and hills and things off road.

  • well, if a driver gets caught drink driving they have to do a course
the main gist of what went down is road rage, so anger management course would be probably applicable
the road rage was caused by cyclist intolerance by all accounts
so for those convicted of road rage incidents against cyclists a rehabilitative cyclist awareness course would be good
cognitive change is key to this conflict resolution, as cyclists, we could end up becoming defensively offensive against drivers due to all the shit we go through, which never leads to calm waters
"CBT aims to help people become aware of when they make negative interpretations, and of behavioral patterns which reinforce the distorted thinking. "
    (just an opinion)

  • i aint into psychology fads, but why i feel cognitive change would be applicable for those convicted of cyclist road rage is because it ultimately is an act of violence , with the vehicle being used as a weapon (revenge passses etc)
those cowards convicted of your common or garden violent acts with weapons are usually given some type of cognitive course

  • welp? i've never been called one of those before, but have used the term describing others

He he. It was an interjection not an accusation.

I had a google for "road rage courses" because my gut feeling is that they won't exist or will barely exist - violence behind the wheel is so absolutely normalised that nobody would ever dream of suggesting a corrective course to anybody. It turns out I was wrong, and they do exist! Look! http://www.hastingsobserver.co.uk/news/local/green-light-for-road-rage-course-1-3686264

A COURSE in how to deal with road rage incidents was given the green light after more than 70 women drivers took part.
It was designed to teach local women drivers the basics of car mechanics and personal self-protection... There was handy advice on roadside get-you-home tips, defensive driving and how to ward off a possible road rage attacker.

    Oh.

  • I think the problem is just rage - I see it in motorists, pedestrians, cyclists, Tube users. It's far more dangerous in drivers, though.

  • interesting idea, it problem just rage, perhaps the root cause of should be identified to aid a solution
in the 'welp' "Jason Wells' ", i think my Learned Fiends, we would be safe concluding the root of his rage is frustration caused by being blighted with a Lilliputian's member

  • my bad, get accused of so much i'm defensively offensive, apologies,;0)
but, it is sad that there are courses teaching''local women drivers.... how to ward off a possible road rage attacker"
would be interesting to see what they teach,
years ago whilst actaully driving, i had a road rage incident up the Palace of Crystal way in london, geezer was bigger than me and had a pal in his white van when he got out with a crossed wheelbrace and came at me, i just tucked up and held the brace so he could not use it, he started punching then, which was no worry as i was tucked up, after i took a few i said ''give the tool to your mate and we'll have a straightner'' which he did, then i did him, in traffic , he eventually fucked off (swear down, may i be struck down and blighted with Well's member if i lie)
would hate to think of a woman having to tuck up and hold the wheel brace whilst being belted
i'm quite lucky as i can hold my hands up
was about 15 years ago, all started after he pulled up beside me at the Skidnam hill roundabout, started slagging me out his window, actually if i recall he had an antipodian accent, i said something questioning his mother's sexual integrity and left him with a confused look at the lights, a few minutes after, once what i'd said eventually fell in, he started to chase me, so i pulled into the nearside lane so he would have to pull up behind me to see what followed
he got out first brandishing the wheel brace as a weapon

  • /\
    bang on the money
" Even the most skilled road users are subject to loss of social awareness, intuitive biases, contradictory beliefs, and limits in cognitive capacity. "

  • Know a former employee of wells, who had suffered financial losses because of him as well as observing his general cuntishness. I wanted to post what he wrote, but might've got him in trouble.

    But his GF just posted this in addressed publicly;

There are many things I could say about this video (warning - heaps of swear words, what a guy!), this man, and this man's business practices. But, in an effort to take some sort of moral high-ground, I will instead call out JASON WELLS of Brew Cafe in London, in the form of this:
    //Brew Staff AMNESTY//
The backlash of Jason's behaviour is likely going to have dire effects on his business interestes, and well it should. Aside from this video capturing his obvious charm, I have my own reasons for finding him a fairly despicable human being. HOWEVER, his business going under, while entirely deserved, would likely result in some hard-working (and no doubt poorly treated) hospo-humans suffering as well. So I am sending out a request to all local coffee shops, restaurants, bars and cafés in London, near to where the Brew branches are based, and beyond, to perhaps openly seek to recruit some of the Brew staff in the coming weeks, as they will likely be looking for new places of work, thanks to their delightful employer and his appalling approach to, well, everything.
Jason Wells is a man of questionable humanity, god-awful ethics, and ILLEGAL business practices. He owes Michael what would have initially been about £1200, but is now (if we counted the accrued interest since his evasion of tribunal dates, avoidance of bailiffs and official court orders) likely triple that, or more.
Jason Wells ignored tribunal dates and mediation requests, he refused to turn up to County Court hearings and, when bailiffs arrived at Brew on Northcote Road to seize assets to repay Michael, Jason had "sold" the business' assets to a newly formed company under another name, in order to avoid having to pay Michael his a) last remaining wages and b) his outstanding holiday pay. These weren't obscene requests, these were simple obligations a business has to its staff.
The bailiff and court advisors said that Jason had likely done this before and, upon inspection, the taxes he was supposed to be paying on behalf of his staff were dubious, and other previous staff members had also launched grievances. We were told to seek legal advice. We couldn't afford it.
Some people MAY lose out unfairly due to this man's impending social demise, and so I am sending hopeful thoughts that only Jason is held accountable for his ongoing horrendous actions - Michael's court case and this cycle incident are, I'm sure, only 2 of many, given his track record.
If you own or manage a hospitality business in the South London area (or beyond), and if you KNOW how to treat your staff fairly and ethically, AND if you don't hurl random despicable abuse at members of your local community, simply because you're a slimeball who thinks he is entitled to anything and everything... then please reach out to the staff at Brew's branches. No doubt they'll be having a god-awful time of late, and could do with half-decent humans seeking to employ them.
Jason, I hope you learn from this and that do your fuckin best to be a better human. What goes around comes around, baby. And if you're a shitbag to other people for long enough, it will clearly bite you in the arse one day. Go sell your Land Rover, and your mansion, pay your debts, sell your share in the business, do some yoga and start apologising to the people you've shat on. Save your brand from complete disintegration, and your soul from complete evaporation.
And pay Michael that £1200, you asshole. That's a good place to start.

  • Now that's the sort of thing that needs to be on TripAdvisor...

  • Nice, papers should see that and start digging up all the old debts and "friends" he has made.
