Read a bit about Open Pave 27mm. My go to framebuilding forum suggests it measures 27.7mm on a 23mm rim.
27mm pave on HED Belgium: 27.7ish mm

I like bigger tyres and often ride 32-45c on my cx. But, this bike will not go that big. I still want it to feel 'fast'. Big Bloke Road Bike...

So... I have finished my teaching contract and closed my company in order to get time to build this frame before leaving for London.
First day of building was today. I got quite far and I am rather pleased right now.
My last frame, the rear triangle was a little off. In order to deal with this I have build myself a new mitre jig and experimented with mitering using a drill press. It works alright..The fit is great.

Also the new frame building jig I bought should help on over all straightness of the frame

Thinking about this colour... Or something similar to this Konga, maybe just a tad more green:

Maybe like this...

Looks like it's going to be good! Where'd you get the frame jig/what kind is it?

A fellow forumger over at fixie king made it while studying to become an engineer. He stopped building frames so I bought it and some tubes.
It would require a mill and a lathe to build it. And time...

mill, lathe, time
I have none of these things ;)

I have changed my process for this build. I have chosen to braze the bb to the chainstays first as it was what I fucked up last time around. This time only sticking the tubes together and then doing the entire bb/st/dt/cs fillet in one go later on, hoping this will make filing and polishing easier.
Rest of the tubes have also been cut. And I am basically ready to braze everything together.

What technique did you use to bend the chainstays?
-
• #38
I bought them like that. Columbus Zona S-bend mtb chainstays.

Amazing to see this come together!

I haven't taken many action shots, as I have been really busy finishing the frame (and packing and cleaning) before leaving my workshop and Aarhus tomorrow. Flying to UK wednesday. I Made it though ;-)

Beautiful!
Love the planned colour choice as well.

Thank you. So stoked right now!

Again, very nice work. You working as/with a frame builder when you get to London?
-
• #45
Lovely stuff! I think the colour choice is great, too.

I am an architect, so not looking to work as a framebuilder really. This is just for fun.
But it would be great if my future job could inc some fabrication of sorts -

Found this on Mario Vaz's fb. Should I considered someone else also? I have been thinking about powder coat but unsure whether it is possible to do metallic paints...
-
• #49
If gettin it done in London, have a word with Armourtex, apparently their work is pretty good for powdercoating.

Major brain freeze. It off course has to be sprayed as the carbon forks would melt in the powder oven. Doh...
that's the exact width of parigi roubaix on stans arch rims...
