Advantage of working in one of the best bicycle workshop in London, got all the tools to measure an' stuff.

Group set has arrived. Cranks fit fine and everything seems perfect, except for the fact that the front mech braze on is a little off center and I can see now that I generally was in a hurry. Filing and brazing is not as nice I have previously done it. A bit ashamed of having to show @coldharbour my work tomorrow ;-) Hopefully paint will cover it.

And what color did you choose? Turqoise?
-
• #130
Yes, something like that. I haven't found a painter yet. Waiting to hear Matt's advice later today.

Still going for this. More green than blue

• #132
Ok. Will you paint the fork?
-
• #133
Yes spray. All of it

Parts are coming together nicely.
And some DT/ST decoration:

Just had a chat with Armourtex. They can't promise that fork and frame can be matched. They want to wet spray forks but powder coat frame. I will go there tomorrow and see what can be done. Any suggestions to alternative paint jobs are welcome.

Got untill tomorrow around 11am to decide colour. Mario Vaz will spray it.

Benotto nickel beige is classic. I also like the metallic sage green of my rawland...
-
• #143
Yeah also nice.
-
• #144
Yep. That colour does it for me. If I ever get my frame sprayed again that's up there at the top of the list. I'll just take em a pic of your Rawland.

Turquoise metallic for me , really suits the style of the build.
Then again, you Argos green in the photo chop doesn't look realistic.
True. Worst thing that can happen is that I end up with a fine and fast tyre touring setup on my other frame and buy new tyres for this one. And thank you for photos and measuring stuff. I appreciate it!
