  • Spesh pizza bag?

  • I daily use the ILE bag, it's a really good product and seems to have the caracteristics you're looking for.

  • @hamrack thanks for the tip re BigxTop have sent them a message. @spotter and @Monsieur_K does anywhere stock the pizza and ILE bags in London?

  • SBC has ILE and sigma has the spesh pizza

  • Can reccomend the ILE. Used it almost every day for the past 6 months or so. Well mexico

  • Another ILE vote here too. Lovely bags.

  • Another vote for the bigxtop rando bag, well made stuff and there were no problems modifying it a bit for the same price (£100 last year).

  • @russmeyer presuming you're in London, is there any chance I could check out your rando bag?

  • Sorry, I'm not. You can check it out in this project thread if you like:

  • I've been told it's difficult to mount panniers to the Pelago rack - does anyone have experience of this? Would a pizza rack be a better option? I want a nice wide platform

  • People are telling you nonsense. There is a slight knack to it but it's by no means difficult.

I have both racks, I probably prefer the pelago.

  • I liked the look of the ILE bag (thanks SBC), does anyone have a bigxtop rando bag in London to compare with?

  • I do, but its a much older custom one.

  • New racks from rawland apparently

looks nice but annoying that the struts mean you can't use the whole surface of the rack

  • Don't see why you can't. I can see why they made them that long, but nothing is stopping you from taking a dremel to the struts once you affix them.

  • Finally came around to fit a Blackburn Outpost Front on my bike, quite happy with it. It probably is a bit of an overkill in terms of width since thought for 29er MTB. I really like the look of it, and the fact that the top platform and sides are part of the same rack rather than having to combine low riders with a pizza rack.

  • I've ordered a rawland demiporteur through a shop in NYC. Hoping it'll work with the longer tubus struts so I can mount to low riders eyelets. I'll post pics when I get it set up. Really like that it has an outfront light mount. 50 dollars less than equivalent nitto rack once you factor in the extra light mount, much wider too.

  • I asked this somewhere before but cant find where or remember the answer.

Whats the least ugly way i can attach the pizza rack to a nature boy disc? The fork eyelets are lower down nearer the dropouts than 'mid fork' as the pizza rack mounts too

  • Probably not a non-ugly way. Cleanest way I can think to get a platform style rack onto a Nature Boy Disc as I've got one coming too, is either with a rack that attaches to the wheel axle and crown or use the Rawland Demiporteur with some much longer struts. Neither are totally great solutions especially if you've already got that rack.

  • Yeah i already have the rack but maybe im better selling and getting something else

  • Thinking of getting the Pelago commuter for my Pre-Cursa for general day-to-day use and also for a little bit of light touring, and had a few questions.
Firstly, is the platform size on the smaller of the two racks adequate for day to day usage carrying bags/groceries/pizza, or would I be better off with the wider one?
Secondly, does the increased width of the larger rack make it more difficult to use with panniers (overlapping the tops of the panniers), and which panniers would you recommend to use with this rack.
    Cheers

  • Apols if you've already covered it but what front rack is that?

  • does the increased width of the larger rack make it more difficult to use with panniers

According to a guy I spoke to recently, yes. Hard to lift the panniers off if you have an ortlieb style attachment.

Carhartt x Pelago x Mission Workshop Bag seems to have most of those features. Custom fit for Pelago Commuter. Quite expensive though.
