Frame and fork are back from the powdercoaters, Winston's just giving the stainless bits a bit more of a polish.
Decisions time, I have a pair of 38mm tyres (which I may sell), as I'm considering going slightly larger, 42mm, wanted folding Conti Contact Speeds, but they're not available til March, now looking at Spesh Pathfinder Pro or Gravelking Semi Slicks, or do I bite the bullet from the get go and get the Ultradynamico Cavas, hmmm.
Due to my lack of storage space I'm loathe to buy ali mudguards, as the bike has to stand on it's back wheel to fit in my shed/outdoor toilet (the bog has been removed), so have gone for Bluemels for the time being (they've always served me well).
Pics of finished frameset soon (fingers crossed). -

Cheers. Got very giddy when he said it had been powdercoated, another sleepless night was had. Just gotta make my decision on tyres now!!

It’s looking good. Keep the 38’s and ride them until the contis get back in stock.
Sorry in advance for boring suggestion

Considered that, but they're unused, so probably worth a little more now than if used and full of tyre milk/sealant.

Another email from Winston, frameset will be ready for collection on Tuesday next week (12th)!!!!
The receipt of the email stopped me procrastinating about tyre selection, so went full hipster, and ordered a pair of Ultradynamico Cavas (fingers crossed they're in stock).
Looks like next Saturday will be bike building day. -

Our bikes will be finished at about the same time... you've smashed it!
Never heard of those tyres before but they'll certainly look great with the raw metal. -

Bit of an indulgence on the tyre front, but fook it, in for a penny n all that.
Yep, similar build completion times, hopefully next Saturday I can get to my lbs first thing, get the headset fitted and cut the steerer, pick up a few sundry items (chain, tubes, cables etc), back home, kettle on, tunes on, then build it all up.
Love a new bike build day. -

I miss Winstons photography. I might just get a frame built but never ride it to get those updates back in my life. Frames looking goood!

Cheers. Opening a new email from Winston is akin to opening a new door on an advent calendar (well, maybe not), a great surprise every time.
@veLLo, I can fill in the time with poorly taken pictures of each individual component I'm gonna use, or you can hang on for a week and see a poorly taken picture or two of a very nice bicycle (I'm not a great photographer, but most people who've read my cp thread already know that).
Once built, a friend of mine, who is a photographer, will take some nice pics of said bicycle. -

Do you have a Varonha as well?!
Off I go to search for it on here.... -

New bike build day sounds fun!
I realised when I picked mine up from the shop that I think it's the first brand new bike I've ever owned. -

Soon - and then we can go on a Varonha Club ride! (after the apocalypse, etc)

Ha ha, deep bore project documentation!

Wait til I start documenting the greasing of individual bolts!
It's the fine details that count. -

Many thanks for the update, much appreciated...

Bars have arrived, excellent service from Ritchey Europe (appears they have no UK distributor at the moment), took 7 days from ordering, that includes the Christmas break.
