Me personally, no, I think I'll leave that for the professionals, probably Aurum (as that's who does powdercoating for Winston now).

Shiny and Chubby - my new favourite kids TV characters!
Wheels are looking great, can't wait to see this take shape. -

Really happy with how the wheels turned out, kinda pleased the Pacentis were a no show.

I wish I'd built those up now!

Sorry (ish).

I wish silver kinlin rims (or any rims) are more widely available!

I need this as a cargo bike wheelset. Looks dope

It certainly isn't easy finding stock in desired drillings. I approached BLB (Velocity stockists) to see if they could get me a pair of Quills, didn't even respond to my email, then went to Pacenti, for Brevets (expected delivery early Nov, no show).
I'm lucky to have found the Kinlins, was actually searching on here for summat else and stumbled across @atk sales thread. -

That's a nice selection of bits, i really want to build up a light steel frame with 700 X 35c clearance with DA7800 / DT shifters - look forward to seeing how this turns out!

Shiny things!!
Why not braze-on FD out of interest? -
• #1023
Because that one was new and cheap and available, also I already have the matching rear derailleur.
Yep, new bike will be all shiny parts, apart from the chainrings (they're black). -

Hopefully Winston takes his time with this one, I've gone from being pretty certain about frameset colour to the option list getting longer! I'm sure when the time comes I'll be able to make a decision (or not).
So far,
Pale blue (favourite)
Sage green (but apparently green bikes are Tory bikes, and nobody wants that)
Curry yellow (not convinced, but I keep going back to it)
Black with silver sparkles (the safe choice)
Chestnut brown (probably being influenced by autumnal colours)
Pink (pale, think I had a poster of a pink Skyway on my wall as a kid). -

Fair enough... frame design based on availability of parts is so 2021!
My vote is for pink or black sparkles.
are you going to paint this one?
