• Best shout ever. I especially liked the fact that I could get it back to Argos to sort. They were very happy to see the frame again as the original builder was there who made it in 1996.

  • Thanks, it is indeed. Super comfy but very fast and responsive :)

  • Bar tape covered in black electric tape. Works beautifully and cost approx £40 less than a Kashimax ;)

  • Is it one wrap of tape wide or two wide?

  • Pretty sure it was one wrap and then built up a bit with the leccy tape. Cheers

  • Thanks dude! Bike looks awesome.

  • No worries and cheers mate :)

  • Let's see the brooklyn already :)

  • That looks awesome!

    What's the seatpost?!

  • Can't believe I've just seen these - that Argos is gorgeous

  • Cheers folks :)
Seatpost is a 3T Stylus 25 Ltd Team Carbon. Not the biggest fan of the seatclamp transition but it'll do for now.
@Thrasher it'll be a couple of weeks. Needs HS installed and stickered before built.

  • Spacers down. -10deg stem. Bar tape. Riding position is spot on now, stack was too high before. Obviously needs steerer chopped but shall wait until I get the baseplate machined. Think I'll call Argos tomorrow. Possibly de sticker wheels?

  • I like the stickers. Keep them! Bike looks sick!!

  • Cheers mate. Aye think I may leave them for now seeing as there's pretty much nothing finalised so won't regret it late ;)

  • De sticker and get matching tyres ;)

  • I might be tempted to keep the pacenti logos but cut off the red and blue bits (and all the tech info).

or only keep one pacenti logo on each wheel.

  • Think I'm gonna leave the stickers for now, needs to get ridden properly first :)
I always get a good front tyre that lasts but skid through too many rears so they're always whatever I have to hand and almost never match ;)

  • Desticker.

  • 12mm setback post. Bit of experimentation and feels better on the knees. May bash a Thomson layback on just to see. Otherwise have a cheap -12deg stem coming to see if it'll lie parallel w the TT. Slowly getting there!

  • Argos looks so good Tom, really like what you've done with it.

Got some changes planned for mine now i've done a couple months of solid riding on it

  • Cheap stem but -12deg is where it's at.

  • Cheers mate. Loving the colour of yours and those forks really go wel with it. What changes are on the cards?

  • More Neo retro, less mash up of random parts. It's been my main/only bike for the summer so needed to be a bit less flashy for locking outside. Now i'm building a beater/winter bike so i can get the Argos right.

    12 degrees looks rad.

  • London cycle and beer. It's been too long!
