• please say you're not one of those people who lock their helmet to their bike

  • The more I look at this bike, the more it doesnt get prettier...I just dont get. But im not meant too...

  • Haha I have been known to on a quick food shop stop..
@josh no worries ;) It fits me like a glove and rides beautifully so it hits the nail on the head for me. I get the looks are a bit different but I wanted Talbot to try something else a bit different and they did. Still a few changes coming with the possibility of a carbon ISP and whole new colour scheme next year ;)

  • Very impressive stable.

Gimme a shout when you've had enough of the CTrack - I'll happily yake it off your hands.

  • Back in action!

  • The old/new Argos is built at last. Definitely messy looking but rides beautifully. Needs steerer cut down, possibly new stem/seatpost, bar tape, saddle adjustment and obviously at some point, paint!
Also, the bottom CK race is ridiculously thick so may need to find someone who can machine one down for me. Suggestions welcome.
Brooklyn going to be built in next couple of weeks...

  • Let's have a look at the 753 :)

  • <3 that frame!

  • Cheers mate, it's pretty awesome IRL and the new HT gives it so much more. The build needs a bit of work mind ;)

  • Whats the story with the headtube?

Some stem slamage wouldn't go amiss I guess :D

  • Had Argos fillet braze a 1 1/8" tube on instead of the 1". They done a beautiful job and it feel much more solid and lighter than before.
Aye the steerer/cockpit needs sorting, just threw it together today.

  • Hell yeah Tom! Great idea changing out the headtube. Like you said changing a few things and this is going be beast! Makes me want to find a frame that I can do the same. Inspiring mate!

  • Thanks mate, really happy with the results. Both aesthetically and functionally. I think the DT really suits it as it's also oversized. Shall work on it over the next few weeks ;)

  • Do you have a photo from before?

  • Not many, probably best one here.

  • Thanks.
It's amazing how little it takes to bring an old bike up to modern day standards.

  • Cheers man, agreed. 753 is pretty much equivalent to 853 so in terms of that the frame is almost as good as it gets. It fits me beautifully and rides great so the HT changing was the only thing it needed to bring it up to date.

  • I did the same to my Rossin road although a lesser tubing.
IMHO it built into a much better bike than any modern frame I could have bought for the money.

  • Argos looks like a real fun ride.

  • What's the top tube protector on the Argos please? @tomsvoboda
