'Period Incorrect' HHSTTB Lo-Pro

Evenin' all..

After finishing the Champagne Campaign and I still having space for N+1 I made an investment in the frame below. Im thinking about attempting regular training over the next few months and having a go at a few TT's. Main objective is an aesthetically pleasing but functional and light bike for short TT's showing an appreciation for 'old school' builds but with a 'new school' feel.

Im thinking to keep it simple with all black parts (more aero) and attempt to keep the weight as low as possible. But also, as I have only used clips an straps I think its time to invest an go clipless on this build. Want some shoes that are plain and simple with a classic look, nothing too extreme, not flouro etc. Something like plain adidas 3 stripes black and white kinda thing. Will be putting some sort of disque wheel on the rear and hopefully something like a Corima 4 spoke or matching disques for lolz.

Aero chainring might be a possibility, stronglight delta would be great but dont think its worth the going rate atm. Im thinking of a fiberlyte chainring or M2quadro but would depend on cranks. Was thinking about saving up for sugino 75DD but lets see how much overtime is available next month.

@jonny Secret for now :-) All im gonna say is its 700c x 650c/26" on the front. It might be a Dave Lloyd as there was a near enough identical one sold on here a while back, with exact same features but no pantographs.

Got a couple ITM handlebars available but chose to go with these as I managed to get hold of a matching stem. 42ctc wide bars x 90mm stem

Aero bars arrived.

Some bolts a bit rusty but have bathed in wd40 for a night so should be alright. Needed some new pads so managed to find some pretty 'retro' multicoloured cork ones on ebay, gonna see if I can pull it off haha.

yep, wishbone look just like the pantographed one on my Dave Lloyd Concept 90.

@Si46 @HHC Thanks - Got a few bits that might have to feature on this one I get a headset and BB sorted.

Anyone know/have for sale a light traditional threaded headset, preferably in black? Dont really want to have to go for the cheap looking Tange on ebay.

Also does anyone have any experience with Modolo Mach brakes? Might be able to get a new in box set for reasonable price.

It was indeed lovely. I never put it on the scales so I can't confirm weight.

Modolo Mach brakes work well. I had a set of the Mach 3's - seemed fine to me.

You need kronos for this sled :)

Or you could use brakes that work....

@HHC - I think "aero-profile gussets" or something along them lines, I personally say aero fairing but I have no idea if thats correct?

@Si46 @Breso I got my eyes on some Mach1/2 set but its one of them 10day auction things on ebay so have to wait ages for that sniper bid moment.
