I used cheapo thin plastic chopping board sheet from the pound shop for my flaps. Works well and you can pick from a plethora of horrible designs. Rubber step liner/protector also works well.

I still love the owner more than the bike, but every month the challenge is evenin' more up.

My folder pusher is on it. But thanks

My folder pusher didn't come through...
So I had to sleigh an architecture student and steal his portfolio folder.
Anyways cut cut rivet...Bike is now more or less done and only adventures awaits. Come on spring!

Looking great. do the guards mean no more off-roading?
Are the mudguards 650b specific?
-
• #289
Yes probably less :)
I am enjoying this a lot as my commuter. I will do heavy touring on this with panniers, rando bag and seatpack and if that brings me off road so be it. But there's a geared cross and a Zombie apocalypse mtb in the pipeline for bike packing.Mudguards are stupid BTW. 700c and 65mm wide. Way to big. It gives me massive toe overlap but also great clearance for mud and grime.
I am on the lookout for some black painted steel ones -

I've been holding off fitting my guards as I like to chuck on the cross tyres at the weekend, but I'm
Getting tired of the soggy commute.I look forward to seeing the
Touring setup, I'll be doing front panniers and Rando, full frame bag and no seat pack this year as I didn't get on with it last time. -

I just need to buy a Tubus lower rider rack and that is it.
I don't like framebags as it prevents me from using my frame pump. Plus I know have a very nice Restrap seat pack carrier thing and a Ortlieb drybag to fit in.

Amaazing
I see. I think mine was one of the first versions they did. No more than 100mm at the widest.
You're welcome @Hulsroy. I spent ages online trying to find a place that sold sheet plastic - until I went through my desk drawer.
