The wheels are interchangeable. To turn it into a singlespeed, for example when the derailleur snaps.
The bike employs 150mm hubs front and rear. This is unique because front hubs are generally narrower. The idea is that should something happen with the rear hub or gears, you can switch wheels and continue the expedition.

Not a lot unfortunately. There's a short video on Youtube
, as well as a "Pages Perso" dedicated to his book. It's NSFW, as it's in Comic Sans. -

Heck yes! Really dig that frame..
Might want a longer front mudguard tho, i think the stuff on your rack will get soaked from the bottom ;)

ah, this is yours!
I've seen it locked outside tate modern once/twice, i did like the crazy bobs and funky TT routing -

Had to cut the mudguard to make room for the brake cable, would have to size down tyres :(
Was thinking to get some of that corrugated plastic board to put on the rack instead ¯\(ツ)/¯

I just found a cheap Trek Singletrack 930 frameset, 17'' size which is 57 cm TT, exactly same as my Pickenflick, will it be a good size for me to convert for a drop bar commuter? Anybody knows if it fits both mudguards and rack? In the rear it looks like there is only one pair of eyelets.

you're better off with a 20" frame, most of the time the top tubes on those old mtb frames are around 58-60, so it is not the length you should look out for it is the height. biggest problem on those 26 dirtdrop conversions is how to get the bars high enough.

I know for the flat bars I would need a longer one, but I am missing drops in my current commuter bike and was thinking about finding some nice retro steel frame to convert.
Is that what they call ‘plus size’ tyres or something?
