that was fucking fun. Big crowd, super tense and huge congrats to Clerks for a well deserved win!

Tonight was LEGEND ... (wait for it)

Super AWESOME! that's the only way to describe tonight's game. MASSIVE crowd cheering, AWESOME atmosphere. It was great to see so many people. London bike polo scene won't stop surprising you! BIG THANKS for all the refs and MASSIVE congrats to CLERKS that play fucking great.

Amazing games with Clerks last night! Thanks Emmet and Chris for reffing and unbelievable number of goal refs and hecklers for creating great atmosphere. The league is getting more popular year by year!

House Party looked improving / impressive to me yesterday, ones to watch in future...

Second that. They played a lot better together against MJ than they did against us! Glad we got in there early

Newington was sold out last night with not a spare seat in the house. With the South London stadium at capacity and the merriment flowing via the classic tinnie and a fragrant smoke from the peace pipes of the onlooking crowd. Literally and figuritively there was a buzz in the air surrounding these two polo fixtures.
Much jokes vs house party

Like most games this year the score line doesn't reflect how close this game was. Both teams started fairly cagey and the deadlock wasn't broken until ~8mins into the game.
MJ held most of the possession but could not convert as house party were not letting any un-invited guests through the doors. Persistence paid off though for Much jokes with darting runs from miles and Shane eventually becoming too much for house party to handle. Danielle also scoring in this round along with Dan for house party getting them off the mark.
By the start of the second game there was a light drizzle making the surface quite slippery, Shane being the one suffering the most as he snapped a brake lever and had to borrow a bike half way through the game from Claire. Emmet noting that Shane did not take a minute to get the feel of his new steed and was straight back into the action. He looked quite at home on it and was soon back to his super fast sprints and high impact slams.
Also noted was beagle's super burn heckle....."hey Shane, I like your bike!" No goals were scored by house party in this game but miles scored a full court own goal. he did however manage to put three goals in the correct net along with one a piece for Danielle and Shane. Charlie has also stepped up his game and played a great second game.
3rd game was way tighter and dan played a blinder earning his team a well deserved draw in this match matching much jokes 3 goals with 3 of his own.
Noted in this fixture was the improvement in the games of dan and charlie who look completely different players, full of confidence on the ball and working really hard both attacking and defending.Elliot also getting in the action with some good hustle.
MVP goes to Danielle though as she was the glue holding much jokes together, calm and controlled through the majority of the game in contrast to the whippets on her team flying round at 100mph.

More of this^, keeps us plebs in the rest of the country entertained.

epic write up, was a really good few games and definitely a lot lot tighter than the cscore suggested. definitely had some squeeky bum time during those games!
