Does anyone have the stats for bourgies v threes? Woody or miles? It's really annoying me that Tim is above me in the scorer table, when I know I scored at least 4 in my last game! I am the best Warin!

So, just to remind everyone, subs cannot be league players (from either division) and have to be cleared by the m-commm. League players are ineligible under all circumstances. Anyone else is eligible. It's generally cool if the other team agrees with who you want to use as a sub. But please clear it with the m-commm first. If it's urgent, get my text from someone or email me. Cheers.

Game 1:
Party Time 4 - 1 Dip Dye
Chris x3 Woody x1
Beagle x1Game 2:
Party Time 3 - 1 Dip Dye
Tony x3 Woody x1Game 3:
Party Time 5 - 2 Dip Dye
Tony x3 Woody x2
Chris x1
Beagle x1A tough fixture between these two teams with Beagle subbing in for Luca.
The first game was played at Mitch and Woody started proceedings by robbing the ball high up court and slotting into an empty goal before the game had really got going. Despite the football kids getting restless in one corner of the court, the game was still played at a good pace with Dip Dye leading for a while before Chris equalised. Then came the goal of the fixture with Chris holding the ball in his own half, drawing a man and then playing a beautiful long range crossfield pass (in football parlance - putting it in behind the full back), perfectly weighted to the mallet of an onrushing Beagle who controlled it well and then put it under the goalie's BB. Great goal. Beagle and Chris were playing well while Woody hustled hard but couldent stop a dominant Chris getting two more (including one long ranger over the bars) and the first fixture ended 4-1 to PT.
The fixture restarted at BLOODY NEWT as there was football organised at Mitch (note to those who organise games- don't play Mitch on a Monday). The second game was all about Tony who had been quiet in unfamiliar Mitch but felt much more at home south of the river and duly scored all three goals for Party Time. Beagle was linking up really well with Chris and Tony and despite some good pressing play from Joe Spikes and Ed Moog (who was very threatening in this game but wasnt able to convert his chances), the game ended 3-1 to Party Time in a game that was hard fought. PT just had that edge and were able to dictate the pace of the game, playing simple drop passes and working well together.
Game three
A much tenser game as Dip Dye really went for it, sensing that they could take something from the fixture if they could just finish better. Some great interplay from Party Time (which made sure that they mitigated the absence of their World Champ) was combatted by Woody stepping things up and equalising Tony's opening goal. Then the game was very tight despite Beagle slotting a great goal and you really felt that Dip Dye could get a break here. The important moment was when the ball bounced around in Party Time's D, Woody's mallet hooked by Beagle in goal as the ball rolled ever closer to the line. Somehow the LPC's loudest pedigree cannine friend was able to clear the danger and Chris went up court and put PT 3-1 up. A furious Woody scored a stunning individual goal, dicking Chris and Tony and despite some great play from Joe Spikes, a further two goals from Tony sealed the deal for Party Time in a tense finish, one of them courtesy of another pinpoint crossfield pass from Chris.
Good game, much closer than the scoreline reflected and although Chris was undoubtedly the strongest player on court, Beagle and Woody share the MVP for this one with great link up play from the former and a constant goal threat from the latter that kept his team in the games.
Is this the first London league fixture ever to have been played on both banks of the Thames?

Joust for 3rd game, me v. Spikes. Wheel slid and I called for a timeout. Only realised this when I stopped to get some food on the way home.
So I basically played the third game with a f-ed chain! ;)
