Copaslip, as for other threads.
That means cassette lockrings too, yes?

Thanks. Just wanted to double check before I help the guy from the tool exchange thread.

@mdcc_tester
I've been offered some Mobilith SHC 1500 by a friend and am wondering whether it's suitable as a grease for bearings/bicycles in general.
If it isn't suitable then what is it about it that makes it so and what should I look for in a general bicycle grease? (Or am I being naive in assuming such a thing exists?) -

It's a high viscosity grease designed for use at very low speeds. It would probably work on a bicycle, but it wouldn't be my first choice as it's likely to be a bit sticky and doesn't have any solid lubricant additives
what should I look for in a general bicycle grease?
For the rolling bearings, NLGI grade between 0 and 2 with 1 being my favourite, kinematic viscosity about 200cSt (ISO 150, 220 or 320 will do, again the middle one is my favourite), preferably with some (2-5%) MoS2*, ideally with calcium or lithium/calcium soap rather than pure lithium. I'm still using my decades old tin of Shell Retinax AM, but if it ever runs out I'll be shopping for Retinax HDX1 or Gadus S2 V220 AD 1
*or WS2 when I'm feeling really tarty.

Is it true that you are not supposed to put grease on carbon? Speicially, internal headset bearing against carbon head tube.

Epoxy resin is happy to live with anything in conventional bearing grease

I think it's an old name, still seems to show up in Russia but the Retinax range has been replaced by the Gadus range in the modern world. You can get single 400g cartridges of Gadus S2 V220 AD 2 at http://www.buckandhickman.com/find/keyword-is-SHELL/product-is-2024227, if you really want to be a perfectionist you could ask them if they can get Gadus S2 V220 AD 1 instead.

I checked with them, the only NGLI 1 grease they have is Rocol Sapphire 1. It doesn't seem to have any MoS2 in it though, so doesn't seem to live up to TesterApproved standard...
Thoughts?

Thoughts?
I'd favour the thicker grease with MoS2 over the thinner one without.

Any chance that people are interested in sharing some of these 400g cartridges of Gadus S2 V220 AD 2? 12 is a bit much for me, but I'd like a couple. It works out at £4.59/400g, other sites (amazon, Buck & Hickman are >£8/400g.
Any takers for a few cartridges of #tester_approved grease? @Emyr? @jdmitch? -

Thanks, thought so but I saw it un-recommended in another thread.
