  • Bonding in the jig for ~24hr.

  • Just in case anyone ever wants to run a Giant OD2 fork you will need to buy the OD2 MTB headset in order to get the upper race for the 1 1/4th upper end (which I'm pretty sure is, in fact, an FSA 51), which will fit into a standard 44mm head tube:

Then use whatever your favourite brand of 44mm/external bottom cup for the 1.5" end.

  • super skinny seatstays. no issues with the increased force from disc brakes on them?

edit: actually, ignore that. I've just looked at it properly. I suppose a chainstay mounted caliper IS the reason you can get away with such skinniness.

  • Dat headtube

  • What headtube?

  • Ah.. I wondered who was getting this fancy paint job.

  • Very nice indeed.

  • Copied my paint, grumble grumble...

  • Ha.
    That's what I thought.

  • Neil basically just copies the bits he likes from everybody else's Talbot builds!

  • What down tube is on the Time Machine Rob?

  • In fairness he did pay for my paint.

  • But now you have matching bikes?

  • Different undercoats - look quite different in bright light.

Mine is pink underneath the spectra, as opposed to the white underneath on Crumbs' bike.

  • Right, where's the cheapest place for Ultegra mechs?

  • The RS ones are made of cheese.

  • Well, Evans Price match so I'd they would be down there.

  • wooow that paint is mental!

  • I speak in jest Neil!

  • This finished yet?
    Any side on pics?

  • Decals on the fork came through the paint unfortunately, so that has to be rubbed back and redone.
