Just sold my 960 pretty cheap too. Piss.
Great brakes.

Stem of choice IMO is the Kalloy Uno 9. ~110g, easily acetoned plain and £15 on eBay. Chuck some Ti bolts on if you fancy, but otherwise hard to better at the price.

Incidentally I acetoned and installed my Uno yesterday .. good stem and a good system to tighten the bolts too:

What size handlebar clamp? OS?

And what was the issue with Tune stems?
-

I like those Ritchey stems, but the O/S 260 deg clamp
only works with certain bars. So check before you buy. Just about squeezed my alu ergonovas in to my WCS. -

Those Ritchey stems are hideous in the flesh. I was a bit sick in my mouth when I saw Jaygee's one on his lovely Roberts. Like having a baby's arm on holding your bars to the bike.

has this really been 7 pages of nothing but stem suggestions?
this thread is weak.Less trash talk, more action.

May I remind you of The Great Bottle Cage Debate in your Talbot thread?

• #165
That was just A+ trolling on my part.

Looks like a fist that's about to punch someone.

That's ridiculous...
Doesn't spotter need 130 anyway?
So what bottle cages are going on this?

I hadnt given that much thought as of yet, the whole area is a mine field
Oh hai, I was looking for Spatr's new bike thread but I seem to have accidentally loaded the stem anti-porn thread :P
Putting aside that you don't want Archetypes because they're too common (and that @hugo7's reasons not to buy them are actually mostly reasons to buy them!) I own Archetypes and Ardennes and you should get Ardennes for this. The Scandium ones really because they're lighter :)
I'm amazed nobody has mentioned the TRP R960's. Y'know, the brakes that the Planet X ultralight brakes are a cheap copy of? They are both the lightest and most powerful brakes I've ever owned and I regret selling them to @dbr now since I decided to stop trying to shoehorn guards onto my road bike.
They are stupidly expensive but they are still almost half the price of EE brakes.
